DID YOU KNOW?

A standard 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube has 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 (approximately 43 quintillion) possible combinations.

This astronomical number arises from the fact that there are 54 stickers on the cube, each with 6 possible colors, and the cube can be rearranged into a vast number of combinations.

This is how you break that number down!

There are 8 corner pieces, which can be arranged in 8! (8 factorial) ways. There are 12 edge pieces, which can be arranged in 12! ways. There are 3 possible orientations for each corner piece and 2 possible orientations for each edge piece. So, the total number of possible cube orientations is 8! x 12! x 3^8 x 2^12, which results in the enormous number mentioned above.

This immense number is a testament to the Rubik's Cube's complexity and the many challenges it offers to those who attempt to solve it.
