Q: What’s something you wish parents and students knew when they enroll at Mathnasium?
A: Remember that the learning process is a continuous process. Some students may take longer to completely grasp a concept. The rewards of their hard work may take a little longer and the learning doesn't stop once you see results. In order to ensure a long term understanding and confidence in math, students need to be willing to continue working even when you can see some growth.
Q: What’s something that surprises most students?
A: Something that often surprises students is how quickly they can catch on to topics that might intimidate them. Often times, students just need some extra support from us to help them grasp a topic.
Q: What’s something that surprises most parents?
A: A lot of parents are surprised to hear that we will work together with our student's math teachers to reach goals set for each student. We can help with homework, test-prep, and quiz make-ups. Another thing that surprises parents is that we don't send any work home. Everything the students work on is done in-center.
Q: Any other insights?
A: Remember, Mathnasium works most effectively when we work with not only the students but the parents as well. Working together to meet the student's goals creates the best environment for growth and learning.
