Don't let your child fall behind

May 22, 2020 | Sunset District San Francisco

Preliminary estimates projected by NWEA estimate that current school closures could make major declines in student learning, with math taking a bigger hit than reading. Some students may return in the fall with less than 50% of the typical learning gain or even a loss of a whole year in some grades.

As per their recommendation “Policymakers and educators need to double up on the support they provide to students on math, even as teaching and learning is being done at a distance. That includes making sure families and students get "access to appropriate, engaging math and reading materials, instruction and support during coronavirus closures.”

Mathnasium can provide access to engaging math and paired with the help of exceptional instructors, we can provide support to your children so that this gap could be bridged and even put the student ahead of the  usual summer gain.
