Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Alan M.

Lead Instructor
Alan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois. After a long career in the insurance and reinsurance industries, he became a teacher. Since 2010, he has taught Math 5 through calculus to students in Grades 5 through 12. Alan is impressed by the way the curriculum has students gradually understand math concepts (that are sometimes elusive in the classroom at school), while more advanced students can find challenging material. Currently, Alan teaches middle-school math and science in the Twin Cities area. He lives in Minneapolis and spends much of his free time biking, swimming, reading, and playing volleyball and basketball.

Malachi G.

Instructor
Malachi is a Senior at St. Paul Academy. He loves math and enjoys working with kids, and Mathnasium is a great opportunity for a combination of the two. In his free time, Malachi enjoy playing sports, hanging out with friends, and working at his Synagogue on the weekends.

Nathaniel H.

Instructor
Nathaniel has a degree in Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science, from Bemidji State University. His favorite subject in math is Algebra. Nathaniel has 2 cats, Ferdinand and Nyla. His hobbies include soccer and card games. He also likes being outside and going hiking and camping.

Katya C.

Instructor
Katya is a senior at Minnetonka High school. She is dedicated to helping kids build a strong foundation in math to help them in their futures. In her free time, Katya enjoys playing piano, exploring photography and Nordic Skiing.

Anna J.

Instructor
Anna recently graduated with a bachelor of science in Marine Biology from Nova Southeastern University. She was raised by a math teacher, which led her to love math. She wants to share her love of math with others, especially those who may not view math the same way. In her free time, Anna loves reading, swimming, and skiing.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
