Tips for Success this Fall Semester

First days of school are upon us and many families are trying to adjust to the new school year, new schedules, and new challenges they might be presented with.

Mathnasium is here to help you navigate your way to fall success with the following tips:

  • If your child is in elementary school, try to work with the teacher to know when their upcoming tests and quizzes are scheduled!  We want to ensure they are feeling confident leading up to tests and in the long run, avoiding the issue of testing anxiety!
  • If you have a middle schooler or high schooler, look at their syllabus to see how much of their grade is weighted per assignments.  This helps your child stay organized, motivated, and teaches them study skills on what to focus more time on.
  • Get into a routine sooner rather than later!  They haven't had schoolwork in months so try and get them into a routine when they get back home on how much time needs to be spent on each subject.  Help alleviate homework stress with this structure!
  • It's okay to reach out for help with support or in challenging your child!  Mathnasium has a program to fit the unique goals and needs of each individual student and your family is not alone in reaching out for help!
