For any given topic, students may have and/or need only some of those 3 types. When we have that frame, we may be able to help them more effectively in the learning they do need!
Michelle Koester here; owner of Mathnasium of Papillion. As I reflect on the massive changes we have all experienced over the last several months, I want to share a personal message. I am honored to be a member of the Mathnasium system, which includes over 1,000 learning centers in North America, and is represented by centers on every continent save Antarctica. It was almost exactly 1 year ago I first met the team and began my journey to create Mathnasium of Papillion.
This last week, the corporate leadership team sent center owners like me a message that includes the graphic you see here: Equality is Greater Than Division. The message called us to remember our core value of humanity through relationships of non-judgment and compassion. That is why I joined this system. At Mathnasium, we strive every day to empower children through teaching Math. We care about our students, their friends and families and our community, and we believe we can help them build the world they dream of building.
I was recently hacked on Facebook, and a video espousing beliefs not in alignment with mine was sent from my account. This tells me some people are desperate to muddy the waters regarding who believes what, so I intend to be very clear about my beliefs here. Mathnasium of Papillion and I will continue to work every day to lift people up, not tear them down, especially when it comes to racial and social equality and justice. Equality is indeed greater than division. I owe that to our students and community, and that is what you can expect from our team.
