PDSES–Approved Math Program

To apply for the Supplemental Special Education Services (PDSES) grant, parents or legal guardians with educational decision-making authority must complete the application through the Texas Education Agency’s official PDSES portal.

Families will need to submit documentation verifying their child’s eligibility, such as proof of enrollment in a Texas public school and confirmation of special education services through an individualized education program (IEP).

If the student qualifies, families can use the $1,500 grant to access educational resources, including math tutoring at Mathnasium. 

The PDSES provides a one-time grant of $1,500 per eligible student.

Students can enroll at Mathnasium at any time of the year using PDSES funds. Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment, allowing Mathnasium to create a personalized learning plan tailored to their unique needs.

Once the PDSES application is approved, families can select Mathnasium as their provider and start scheduling sessions right away. Face-to-face instruction and caring guidance are available year-round to help students build a deep understanding of math and grow their confidence.

We typically recommend 2 to 3 sessions per week to help your child build momentum and see meaningful progress. 

Each student is different, so during the initial assessment, your local Mathnasium center will suggest a schedule based on your child’s skill level and academic goals. Consistent attendance keeps learning on track and helps students master math concepts faster and with more confidence.

Mathnasium works with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, supporting everything from basic number sense to advanced high school topics.
