Anna Wood

Instructor
Anna Wood is currently a Math Specialist at the Blackstone Academy Charter School in Pawtucket, RI. She previously taught high school math for ten years at Mount Hope High School in Bristol, RI and seven years in Michigan. She also served as a middle school Math Interventionist for a year and a half in Fall River. She is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH where she earned her B.A. in Mathematics and minor in Education. She also earned her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from IPFW (Indiana/Purdue University, Fort Wayne, IN). Her passion is helping students with math, and in her free time she loves running and playing golf. She is excited to be part of the Mathnasium team, and looks forward to helping all students improve and gain confidence in their math skills.

Abigail Small

Instructor
Abigail Small is a graduate student studying mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She recently graduated from Roger Williams University as an applied mathematics and computer science major. At RWU, she was a member of the honors program, the mathematical honors society, and president of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. She worked throughout high school and college as a private tutor, specializing in algebra, geometry, and calculus. Through instruction at Mathnasium, she strives to help students see their own potential and excel in math.

Kyle Andrade

Instructor
Kyle Andrade is a lifelong resident of Portsmouth Rhode Island, and got his B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He graduated from Portsmouth High School after taking a total of 10 AP tests, including AP Calculus BC. He achieved a 790 out of 800 on the math portion of the SATs, and participated in the high school math team, on the Cyber Patriots team, and on Science Olympiad. He is a lover of mathematics and computing, as he participated in multiple math, science, and computer coding competitions over his high school career. He also enjoys learning languages, as a previous member of the Portuguese Language Honors Society. He has also always been an avid reader of various genres of literature. He looks forward to an amazing experience with both you and your child at Mathnasium!

Gabriel Sanchez

My name is Gabi Sanchez and I am a Forensic Chemistry Student at Roger Williams University! I am originally from Prosper, TX which is about 30 minutes north of Dallas and while I was home I worked at my mom's Mathnasium in Prosper since she opened in 2014.

Emily Parsons

Assistant Center Director
Emily Parsons attended St. Michael's College in Colchester, VT, where she graduated with Kappa Delta Pi honors in education. She worked in public and private school settings in northern and central regions of the state, before returning to her childhood town of Portsmouth, RI in the summer of 2020.
