  • What’s the difference between Summer Programs and Summer Camps in Denver?

Summer Math Programs follow a flexible schedule built around your family's summer plans, so your child can catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math at their own pace.

Summer Camps, offered at select Denver centers, run on a set half-day schedule and pair math instruction with hands-on activities such as STEM projects, games, and challenges in a fun, camp-style setting.

  • Do all centers in Denver offer both the Summer Math Program and Summer Camp?

No, not all Mathnasium centers in Denver offer both options.

Most locations provide flexible, personalized Summer Programs. Summer Camps, however, are available at select centers.

Contact your local Mathnasium center directly to see what's available near you this summer.

  • What do Mathnasium's summer programs look like?

Mathnasium's summer program in Denver gives students a personalized, flexible math experience they can attend in-center or online, on a schedule that works for their summer.

Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment, which we use to build a personalized learning plan targeting their current skill level, goals, and how they learn best. From there, students attend sessions two to three times a week, receiving live, face-to-face instruction from our specially trained tutors.

Sessions follow each student's learning plan, so the work always stays focused on what matters most for their progress.

  • What do Mathnasium's summer camps look like?

Mathnasium's summer camps run as half-day, themed weeks at select Denver centers, typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Each week centers on a different theme, such as Robotics & Coding, Chess, LEGO® Building, STEAM Challenges, Financial Literacy, and more.

Math stays at the core of every camp day. Students work through their own math goals during the instructional block, then shift into the day's themed activity before wrapping up with games.

Though each math camp is different, a typical camp day would look like this:

    • 9:00–9:05 a.m.: Greetings and welcome

    • 9:05–10:05 a.m.: Focused math instruction using personalized learning plan materials

    • 10:05–10:15 a.m.: Break

    • 10:15–11:15 a.m.: Themed STEAM or enrichment activity

    • 11:15–11:30 a.m.: Cleanup and transition

    • 11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Games and pickup

Reach out to your nearest Denver center to see which camp themes and dates are on offer this summer and how to save your child's spot.

  • What kind of math will my child be working on over the summer?

We build your child's summer math program around their current skill level and goals.

This is why enrollment begins with an assessment designed to tell us where the student is on their math journey, including how they think and feel about math. After a diagnostic assessment, we build a personalized learning plan that targets each student’s exact learning needs, whether that means filling knowledge gaps from the past school year, (re)building foundational skills, or getting a head start on what's coming next.

Depending on your child's level, their summer work might focus on:

    • Foundational skills: Number sense, math facts, place value, fractions, decimals, and percentages

    • Pre-algebra and algebra: Expressions, equations, functions, and linear relationships

    • Geometry: Shapes, angles, area, volume, and coordinate geometry

    • Advanced topics: Algebra 2, precalculus, trigonometry, or statistics, for students in upper-level high school courses

    • Test prep: Math concepts covered on the SAT®, ACT®, PSAT®, or ISEE®, for students preparing for college entrance or private school admissions exams

Summer is also a great time to revisit concepts that didn't fully click during the school year, so students arrive in the fall feeling prepared and confident.

  • What curriculum do you use to teach math in your programs?

We don’t rely on a pre-set curriculum. Instead, we use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary approach designed to teach math in a way that makes sense to each student.

Our approach starts with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify students' current skill level, discover learning gaps, and understand their academic goals. Using these insights, we create a personalized learning plan that puts them on the best path toward math mastery.

The focus is always on building real understanding, so students come away with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they can carry into the next school year and beyond.

  • What’s the difference between the in-center and online Summer Program?

There's no difference in the quality of instruction between Mathnasium's in-center and online summer programs.

Whether a student attends sessions in person or online, they receive the same personalized learning plan, face-to-face instruction from specially trained tutors, and supportive group environment.

The only difference is where they choose to learn, at a local center or from home.

  • When does Mathnasium's summer program in Denver start and end?

Summer Program dates can vary slightly by location, but most Mathnasium centers in Denver run their programs from early June through mid-August.

Contact your local center to confirm exact dates and availability.

  • How often should my child attend sessions during the summer?

For most students, attending 2–3 sessions per week is just right to stay on track and make real progress during the summer months.

The best schedule depends on each student’s goals. Some may benefit from more frequent sessions, while others need a lighter pace.

  • Can we schedule sessions around summer vacations or other activities?

Absolutely! Flexibility is one of the biggest benefits of Mathnasium's summer program in Denver.

We know summer often means vacations, camps, or spontaneous plans, so we make it easy to build a schedule around your family's calendar without losing momentum on math.

  • What do Mathnasium's summer programs in Denver cost?

Pricing varies by center, program type, and your child's recommended session schedule. Depending on the location, families may choose from session packages or a standard monthly membership. Summer Camp fees, where available, are typically priced separately per camp week.

We recommend contacting your nearest Denver center directly for current rates, package options, and any available summer promotions. Our team will walk you through everything, so there are no surprises.

  • What is included in the cost of the Summer Program?
