Students can choose to attend their Mathnasium summer sessions in person or online. Our live, face-to-face, online sessions are led by the same tutors you would meet at your local learning center.

Summer Programs focus on academic growth, with personalized learning plans designed to help students catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math.
Summer Camps provide math enrichment through hands-on games and activities in a fun, social setting, making math exploration even more engaging.

Mathnasium's summer program in Houston runs from early June through late August, giving students a personalized, flexible math experience they can attend in-center or online on a schedule that works for their summer.
Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment. From there, we build a personalized learning plan targeting their current level, knowledge gaps, and goals for the school year ahead. Students attend sessions two to three times per week, receiving live, face-to-face instruction at every visit.
Every session follows the student's learning plan, so no time is spent on ground they've already covered. Some Houston centers also weave in hands-on activities, problem-solving challenges, and math games to keep things engaging.

Mathnasium Summer Camps, available at select Houston centers, pair focused math instruction with themed enrichment in a half-day format running Monday through Friday, typically from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Themes are set by each center and may include Robotics & Coding, Chess, LEGO® Building, STEAM Challenges, Financial Literacy, and more. Whatever the theme, every student continues working through their personalized Mathnasium learning plan during the instructional block. Here's what a typical camp day might look like:
9:00–9:05 a.m.: Greetings and welcome
9:05–10:05 a.m.: Focused math instruction using personalized learning plan materials
10:05–10:15 a.m.: Break
10:15–11:15 a.m.: Themed STEAM or enrichment activity
11:15–11:30 a.m.: Cleanup and transition
11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Games and pickup

At Mathnasium, students can focus on the math concepts they need help with, test preparation, or simply enjoying new math challenges.
Each student’s Mathnasium journey starts with a diagnostic assessment that allows us to identify their needs and goals, and create a personalized learning plan that may include:
Foundational skills: Number sense, math facts, place value, fractions, decimals, and percentages
Pre-algebra and algebra: Expressions, equations, functions, and linear relationships
Geometry: Shapes, angles, area, volume, and coordinate geometry
Advanced topics: Algebra 2, precalculus, trigonometry, or statistics, for students in upper-level high school courses
Test prep: Math concepts covered on the SAT®, ACT®, PSAT®, or ISEE®, for students preparing for college entrance or private school admissions exams

We typically recommend 2 to 3 sessions per week. This pace allows students to maintain steady progress while leaving plenty of time for summer fun!

That said, our Summer Camps usually follow set weekly schedules, which may be less flexible, but many centers offer multiple sessions, giving you options.

Summer Camp fees, where available, are typically priced per camp week and separate from the regular program cost.
