Math Instructors Needed

Mathnasium of Ahwatukee in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for motivated, responsible, and passionate math-talented individuals to fill math instructor positions. Successful Mathnasium instructors understand the importance of math education and use their impeccable math skills and outgoing personality to help children learn. This is a part-time, hourly and year-round position.
Provide effective and concise math instruction using the Mathnasium Method™
Assist in tracking the progress of each student
Complete administrative tasks as assigned including daily opening and closing tasks
Contribute to the creation of an engaging and productive learning environment
Personal Traits: Friendly, outgoing, confident, flexible, sense of humor, punctual, professional attitude, trustworthy, passionate, excited, and energetic.
Education: No specific educational requirements although completed education should demonstrate a propensity towards and aptitude for math.
Technical Skills: Impeccable math skills up to Pre-Algebra required with skills up to Calculus preferred. This includes Algebra I & II, Geometry (with proofs), Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. Applicants will be required to take a rigorous math test that covers topics through Algebra I. Calculators cannot be used. Sample questions can be found under the various checkups on the bottom right links:
Valid Driver’s License
Able to pass a mandatory background check
Passionate about teaching mathematics to children of all ages and the ability to communicate that passion to students and parents.
Experience working with children between the ages of 7 and 17.
Generally available during operating hours with the ability to handle a flexible schedule for at least 2 days per week.
