Center Director
Dr. Johnson has served Mathnasium of North Dallas as an instructor, lead instructor, and Center Director since 2015. With 27 years of experience as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Dallas, Santa Fe, and Fort Worth, she brings a wealth of educational insight to her role.
She has presented at multiple Mathnasium Annual Conferences on topics such as assessments, staff meetings, and standardized testing, and she is well versed in ISEE, ERB, and STAAR exams. Her favorite number is 33, inspired by Dallas Cowboys legend Tony Dorsett.
Jennifer Speer
Owner
Jennifer combines the insight of an educator with the perspective of a busy parent. A homeschooling mother of three, she knows how to keep students engaged and progressing in math in a way that feels enjoyable and rewarding.
She holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Southwest Texas State University and has successfully owned and operated businesses with her husband, James. After discovering Mathnasium, they sold their previous business to dedicate themselves fully to education. Jennifer loves being part of an organization that changes kids’ lives through confidence and understanding.

Larry has spent his entire career finding better ways to teach math. From inner-city schools to acclaimed private and magnet programs, he has worked as both a teacher and educational consultant, designing innovative curricula and teaching strategies that help students truly understand math.
As the creator of the Mathnasium Method, Larry’s approach forms the foundation of every center worldwide. Though not an instructor at this location, his continued guidance helps ensure students’ learning experiences are effective, engaging, and enjoyable.
Matthew Tran
Instructor
Matthew earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and his master’s in statistics from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is now studying accounting to expand his analytical skills while continuing to share his love of learning through teaching.
A lifelong Pokémon fan, Matthew draws inspiration from teamwork and persistence—values he passes on to his students. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys playing piano, exploring maps, and volunteering as a youth leader. His favorite number is 1, a reminder to always give his best effort.
Will Wyma
Instructor
Will graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in mathematics and is currently working toward becoming a credentialed actuary. His strong math background and passion for problem-solving allow him to help students see math as both approachable and rewarding.
When he’s not teaching, Will enjoys playing the violin, spending time with friends, and diving into his favorite video games. His favorite number is e, because as he likes to say, it makes calculus “e”sier.
Lily Fishkin

Lily is a high school student with four years of math tutoring experience under her belt. She has big dreams of attending UT Austin to pursue a medical degree and eventually becoming a doctor. When she’s not solving math problems, Lily loves learning new things, helping others, and finding ways to build confidence in every student she teaches.

When she’s not at Mathnasium, you might find her enjoying stand-up comedy or live music. At the center, Samar loves cheering students on and helping them feel excited about excelling in math.
