• What math classes can your instructors teach?

  Our caring, specially trained instructors work with all students from PreK to College. Our instructors can work with all classes including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Statistics, SAT/ACT Prep and ISEE Prep.

• Is an assessment required for enrollment?

  Each student in our regular program is assessed at a level that coordinates with their grade level curriculum at school. This assessment helps us to pinpoint their strengths, knowledge gaps, and unique goals, so that we can create a personalized learning plan that will put them on the best path to math mastery.
  Students signing up for private sessions or homework help bring their own material and do not need to take an assessment.

• How do you teach math? What method or curriculum do you use?

  Students enrolled for in-center instruction will have a binder with their personalized learning plan material printed for them. We have dry erase tables so the students can write out their work for the instructor to see and they can also show their work on their paper. Our instructors are very focused on teaching to the individual.
  We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary approaches which combines personalized learning plans with proven techniques to build math knowledge upon what students already know, so they are able to retain what they learning and gain confidence along the way.
  Our curriculum is based on NCTM standards, which is the source for all other math curriculum used in our public and private schools in the area.

• Do you work with advanced students along with students struggling with math?

  We work with students of all skill levels, to catch up, keep up, or get ahead. We take students where they are and move them along their learning path at their speed to increase their confidence in their math abilities. If a child needs extra help, we provide that help. For students ready to fly in math, we take them to their greatest potential. All students receive personalized support to reach their academic goals.

• Does your center prepare students for standardized testing?

  Yes, we can help prepare your child for STAAR, ISEE, ERB, ITBS and other standardized tests. We ask that you let us know when your child is taking the test so that we have adequate time to help them prepare.

• What is the cost for Mathnasium?

  Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with proven results. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Once your child is assessed, we will discuss the assessment and the various programs we offer with the parents.
