Joye Bowen

Lead Instructor
Joye graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Communications. She has tutored and taught K-12 students for over 5 years. Joye started working at Mathnasium in 2019 as an instructor and is now a full-time lead instructor. She enjoys the way Mathnasium addresses learning gaps, treating students as individuals and helping them develop a deeper understanding of math.

Nicole Balawon

Instructor
Nicole is a junior at at University of Georgia, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's in Public Health with concentration in Biostastics. major in Mathematics. Nicole likes working at Mathnasium because it gives her the opportunity to show students new ways to approach math. In her free time, she enjoys fencing, gardening, and volunteering at local hospitals and animal clinics. Nicole started teaching at Mathnasium in January 2020.

Katherine Burklin

Instructor
Katy Burklin is currently a senior at Campbell High School, studying in the IB program there. Aside from working at Mathnasium, she swims and bakes an unnecessary amount of cookies and brownies. Although she had a love-hate relationship with math, now Katy enjoys working with kids and explaining math to them, especially seeing as she was once in their shoes.

Leah Krupczak

Instructor
Leah is a Middle Grades Education Major with a focus on Math. She currently attends Georgia College and State University. Leah likes working at Mathnasium because she enjoys helping students learn new ways to think about math. In her free time, she enjoys playing dnd, reading, and the occasional softball game.

Jayla Ellis

Instructor
Jayla graduated from Georgia Tech in December 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Since then, Jayla has been working in Tech as a Tech Consultant. Outside of that, Jayla enjoys teaching at Mathnasium and helping students learn and understand new math concepts. In her free time, Jayla loves to workout and spend time with friends trying new restaurants in Atlanta.

Khang Ton

Instructor
Khang is a senior at Campbell High School and is enrolled within the IB Certificate Program. Khang joined the Mathnasium team because he has a passion for mathematics. Khang enjoys seeing students having their "A-Ha!" moments when he succeeds at teaching a concept. Khang is a member of various clubs at his school and is President of the Japanese club.
