Daniel Ventura, Owner/Center Director
Daniel is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Aventura. Prior to opening his Mathnasium center, Daniel worked as a Trade marketing analyst with Mars Inc. in the Chocolate team. He has a Business Major from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile and also studies in Civil Engineering. Having been gifted with math as a child, Daniel is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Aventura and North Miami community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. He has taught and tutored children of all ages in Math, Physics and Chemistry, and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.
Marcela Ortiz, Owner/Administrative-Marketing
Marcela is the Administrative and Marketing person at Mathnasium of Aventura, Florida. Marcela has a degree in Business Administration. Prior to opening the Mathnasium of Aventura, Marcela worked as Brand Manager of different brands in the wine industry in Chile and Argentina. She was in charge of the entire developmental process of these brands, from their creation until their introduction to different markets around the world. Marcela recently moved to Miami from Chile with Daniel (her husband) to start their own dream, to have their own company, and in Mathnasium they found the perfect combination of their passions: help the community-s children and education. Marcela believes that a good education is the basis for life´s opportunities allowing students to achieve their maximum potential, and since Mathnasium provides a unique and fun way of learning Math, Marcela is certain that this is a perfect match, and she is willing to leave her previous accomplishments behind to devote her entire future on this goal.
Austin Pryce/Leader Instructor
Austin is a college student attending Broward College and wants to pursue Electrical Engineering.
He was a state track athlete in high school where he places 9th and 10th in the triple jump his junior and senior year. Austin also score a 780/800 on the Math SAT his senior year. Besides working at Mathnasium, Austin is also a Basketball and Volleyball referee for the Broward County School District. Austin loves working with kids and young adults alike. He uses his experience as a youth fitness coach, camp counselor, referee along with his love and proficiency in math to bring out the best in kids as students and individuals.
Pamela Rio/Assistant Director
Pamela is a sophomore in Miami-Dade College. She is actively involved in a church group helping out the community kids. Pamela is a big part of the Mathnasium team by updating the Learning Plans and Mathnasium binders. She keeps track of every strudent's assignments, making her very organized and responsible. She loves helping children with what they need.
Jonah is an 12th grade AP Student at Dr. Michael Krop Senior School.
He is the editor in chief of his school newspaper, The Lighting Strike, captain of both his debate and volleyball team, and an active member of Mu Alpha theta, or math honor society. Since 2012, he has worked with children of all ages at his synagogue’s religious school program, where he has developed a love for teaching others. His passion for math and teaching others have merged in Mathnasium, where he has the opportunity to teach a group he has never been able to before.
Maya is a highschool senior who attends Scheck Hillel Comunity School. As captain of varsity girls basketball, and varsity girls flag football, she has aquired the skills to be a leader and positively influence those around her. Since 2016, Maya has been a counselor for Elementary Students at the Israeli scouts organization. Her job is to mentor young children, as well as mold them into educated and moral human beings. She has always had a passion for teaching and working with kids. Aside from extra curriculars. She has always been an outstanding scholar in her math curriculum. Mathnasium allows her to combine both her passions and talents by making her students the best Mathematicians they can be.
Matan is a highschool Senior dual enrolling at FIU. Matan has worked at the Mar Jcc Camp and Daytrippers. He has done math coures up to Calculous and Ap statistics. He has before privately tutors kids and continues to do so here and at FIU. His experience with Kids and Math make him a wonderful instructor and great friend to the kids.
Abigail is a student in 11th grade and attends Dr. Michael Krop Senior School. She is currently taking all honors and AP Classes. Abigail is the Vice President of Florida Future Educators of America, a leadership club at her school, and is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society. Ever since she was a young child, Abigail has excelled in math and has had a love for children. At Mathnasium, Abigail has found great place for her passion for math, as well as working with children, to come together.
Dvir Ben-Yaeesh is a highschool senior at Dr. Michael Krop Senior Highschool. Just like your children, Dvir was also a student at Mathnasium. With this experience, Dvir can prepare himself for any type of student and knows Mathnasium in and out. Dvir's experience is not only limited Mathnasium. He has counsiled and tutored at the JCC and Tzofimfor, his skill with with working with Kids and looks forward to working with yours.
Catherine is a highschool senior, focusing her time to helping kids in math. In school, she is a teacher aid and acts as a Math Instructor in class when students are falling behind or don't understand. She assists at the ESOL level and can switch from English to Spanish explanations. Catherine has been captain of her highschool volleyball and badminton team, while taking AP and honors courses.
Scott Pollowitz/ Instructor
Scott is an 11 grade student at Mast@FiuBiscayneBayCampus. He is president of the Forensic Science Club at his school and the treasurer of his school's Key Club. He also works as an intern at his school. A few words to describe him are self-motivated, adventurous and communicates well with others. His passion for teaching children developed while volunteering to tutor at a local elementary school through National Honor Society. Now, he hopes to use the skills he has learned to improve the math abilities of the kids at Mathnasium.
Shai is a junior at Mast@Fiu. She is active in many community service clubs and volunteers at Greynold's Summer Camp. She loves helping kids and her passion for math came from her mom, who is also a math tutor.
Hannah is a 11 grade at michael Krop Senior High. She takes all honors and AP classes, and has a passion for math and teaching kids. Previously, Hannah worked as a counselor at capm Simcha, a summer camp for young children. Mathnasium allows her to pursue her passion for math and working with kids.
