Our Team

Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:

SHWETA JHA (Center Director)

Shweta Jha is the center director of the Mathnasium of Berryessa, San Jose. Prior to opening the Mathnasium center, Shweta worked as a volunteer in the local elementary schools and also in Kaiser Permanente. She has an MBA in Marketing (Masters of Business Administration) in Marketing, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application), from renowned Universities. She has a passion for learning and teaching Math. Shweta has taught and tutored children of all ages. She is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the Berryessa community by mastering the Mathnasium Method. Every day she makes it a goal to ensure that students have an effective, engaging, and encouraging learning experience that cultivates an intuitive understanding of math. She does this by selecting highly trained instructors who are passionate about math, maintaining the best environment for learning, and always staying positive. At Mathnasium, we offer the tools to help young learners improve critical math skills and understanding, regardless of their current ability level. Peter was a math teacher in Vietnam. So when he came to the US, he wanted to be a teacher again. He went to San Jose City College and Mission College to learn ESL and math. He also worked at an electronic company named Solectron as a mechanical assembler.   He there received a BS degree in math in May 2010 from UC Berkeley. Coming back to San Jose, since the Fall of 2010 he was a graduate student at SJSU with a major in mathematics. He was working on a project in Abstract Algebra for his Master's degree.




Sujata is very good at academics and friendly. She has had more than 40 years of experience in teaching math to students of all grade levels.  




 Mary  is  multitalented and very friendly with students  and like  to teach in same way. She  is pursuing   her  college studies  along  her  Mathnasioum  job.



Janelle  is  very  soft  spoken ,highly talentented   and  also teaches  very politely  to all  levely   of kids.She  is  pursuing   her studies  along  with  her  job,




Chetana  is  very  multi  talentented ,sheplays  scoocer ,do  dance and  loves   teaching  while  pursing   her  studies.
