These tips give parents ideas for math exercises that will develop their child's math abilities. Today’s parent tip for “mathing” with your child focuses on shapes.
Combination lock puzzles have become popular ways to use detective skills in number problems! These games provide clues for you to work out the codes (or, combinations of numbers) that successfully open a lock. And today, we’re sharing our Mathnasium version for you and your child to have some math fun!
So, are you ready to crack the code? Download our number lock puzzle (below) to get started with your child! We recommend going in order, as the puzzles increase in difficulty. Take your time and have some fun, mathematical debates over the options for each number. When you think you’re done, check your answer by making sure each clue satisfies your code number, then compare it with our answer key. Do your best to use only mental math!
Follow our Number Sense Blog for more math activities or visit a Mathnasium Center nearest you.
Mathnasium meets your child where they are and helps them with the customized program they need, for any level of mathematics.
