Doing math with your child is a great way to interact with them and help them learn about our world.
Today’s parent tip for “mathing” with your child focuses on grouping twelve things. Grouping things in equal numbers is a useful skill. It leads to an intuitive understanding of multiplication and division. Children can begin to learn how numbers are composed of other numbers (called factors). This skill is the basis of Number Sense.
