Now that we’ve given you a taste of our three TriMathlon math challenges in our last three Warm-Up Wednesday challenges, our final word problem reminds you of a very important TriMathlon rule. Latecomers will not be admitted into the center once the competition has started, so put on those punctuality pants and arrive on time!
One center’s TriMathlon event starts at 9 am. It takes you 10 minutes to shower, 10 minutes to get dressed, 20 minutes to eat breakfast, 5 minutes to do some last minute review, and 30 minutes to get to the center. What is the latest you can wake up in order to make it to the center on time?
