Our Team

Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:


CenterDirectorKevin and Karalyn Bord, Owners 

Karalyn and Kevin Bord are Co-owners of Mathnasium of Brecksville.  Kevin is an assistant principal in Cleveland, has a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a Master's in Educational Leadership.  He is a Licensed Intervention Specialist and 7-12 administrator.  Kevin has taught in large urban districts as well as small alternative settings.  Karalyn has 13 years of Sales and Service experience in the Professional Audio Industry as well as over a decade of experience in the Alternative Health field including an Associate of Applied Science Degree.  She is a lover of music, has sung professionally and continues to study music.  Karalyn and Kevin both struggled with Math in school and are truly excited about making Math make sense.  They have three kids and a dog.  The family likes to be together and be outside.

 

 Greg Fesz, Lead Instructor

Greg has a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics degree from Baldwin Wallace University, and is a licensed teacher. Greg has 3 years experience teaching math to grades 6-8, including Algebra I.  Greg truly enjoys patterns and finding new ways to solve problems. Outside of the classroom, Greg likes to play tennis, and is interested in nutrition and music.

Favorite math joke: What did 0 say to 8? "Nice belt."

 

 Gail Tatoczenko, Instructor

 Gail has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Special Education from Cleveland State University and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University.  Gail taught in the Elyria City School District for 10 years and in the Parma City Schools for 20 years, and retired in 2018.  Gail's interests include spending time with her four children, gardening, making quilts, and taking care of her dogs, cat, and horse.
 
 

Robyn Cooper, Instructor

 Robyn has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Educational Studies from Washington University in St Louis, a Masters Degree in Education and School Counseling from the University of Missouri, and is licensed as a K-12 Intervention Specialist and School Counselor in the state of Ohio.  She is in her 4th year teaching as an intervention specialist providing intervention for Albegra I, Geometry and Algebra II.  Robyn loves working with students of all ages.   Outside the classroom, Robyn loves watching movies, Karaoke, traveling and spending time with friends.
Favorite Math Joke:  Why is 6 afraid of 7?  Because 7, 8, 9.
 

 Lana Kanawati, Instuctor

Lana is a Senior at Brecksville High School is currently taking Pre-Calculus and speaks 3 languages fluently.  She is on the track team and has a passion for helping kids understand math.  She loves math because it is predictable.   In her spare time she enjoys Photography and Art.  

Favorite Math Joke:  People are like numbers, some of them irrational.

 

 
 
Anna Roderick, Instructor

Anna is a Sophomore at Brecksville High School and is currently taking Pre-Calculus and Statistics.  She enjoys solving problems and probability.  In her spare time, she plays basketball and is involved in Student Council, Key club and Spanish club.  

             

Rohan Rangaraju, Instructor

                                               
Rohan is a Sophomore at Brecksville Broadview Heights High School and is currently taking PreCalculus. He enjoys solving puzzles and riddles in his spare time.  Rohan enjoys playing basketball and tennis, and is interested in biomedical engineering.  He is also involved in science olympiad and speech and debate.
