Eric B.

Assistant Centre Director

Eric has loved math from an early age and has been teaching at Mathnasium for nearly seven years. He graduated from Nipissing University and Sheridan College with a Bachelor of Commerce and a diploma in Accounting. His favourite part of teaching is seeing the spark in students' eyes when a concept finally clicks. 

Eric believes in comprehension over memorization, and enjoys making math fun and meaningful. Outside the centre, he plays soccer, basketball, and baseball with friends, and also enjoys movies, music, and video games. 

Patrick M.

Assistant Centre Director

Patrick holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, with majors in Statistics and Economics. His favourite part of teaching math is seeing students develop their own understanding of concepts and discovering how interesting math can be. He enjoys sports like basketball, F1, and badminton, and goes fishing when he has the chance. Patrick looks forward to sharing his knowledge with students at Mahnasium and making math fun!

Serina R.

Assistant Centre Director (Training)

Serina is a Psychology student at Wilfred Laurier University with a passion for learning and teaching. She’s the creative mind behind the exciting Special Activities of the Month… so keep an eye out for what she’s planned next! With her enthusiasm for education and helping students grow, Serina aspires to become a teacher one day, continuing to inspire kids the Mathnasium way!

Sehaj B.

Assistant Centre Director (Training)

Sehajvir is a Biomedical Sciences graduate from the University of Waterloo with a strong passion for learning and helping others succeed. Having been involved in outreach programs, Sehajvir enjoys connecting with students and making a positive impact in the community. With a love for math that began at an early age, she was naturally drawn to Mathnasium as a place to share that enthusiasm and support students in building confidence in their skills. Dedicated and approachable, Sehajvir is committed to fostering a fun, encouraging environment where students can thrive. 




Wiesia G.

High School Specialist

Wiesia is a retired Ontario Certified Teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching math and physics in Montreal and Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Education from McGill University. 

She is passionate about helping students overcome math anxiety and has supported countless learners through breakfast clubs and after-school programs. Wiesia brings warmth and wit to her role—she loves a good math joke and believes that math success is within every student's reach.

Alvina S.

Senior Instructor

Alvina is a Civil Engineering student at the University of Toronto. She did not always enjoy math, but her fourth grade teacher instilled a fondness for it which she aims to inspire her students with. In her spare time Alvina enjoys playing video games, media design and hiking with her dog. At Mathnasium, Alvina strives to inspire students with an appreciation for math and help develop the tools and methods that work best for each individual student.

Mahi M.

Instructor

Mahi is a third-year student at the University of Toronto, specializing in Biotechnology with a minor in Chemistry. Mahi fosters a deep passion in education and works toward providing the upmost support for it. In her free time, Mahi likes to pick up new hobbies and likes to play the clarinet.

Laiba H.

Instructor

Laiba holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and brings over four years of tutoring experience in both private and group settings. Her passion for teaching began at home, helping her younger siblings and cousins discover the joy of learning. Laiba loves working with children and finds fulfillment in supporting their academic growth and confidence. She brings patience and positivity to every lesson, and when she’s not teaching or studying, she enjoys reading, solving puzzles, and spending time with friends.

Najid O.

Instructor

Najid is an Electrical Engineer from McGill University in Montreal. With a strong passion for math and teaching, he is building a career in data and statistical analytics. Teaching for him is not just about sharing knowledge; it is an engaging exercise in mental agility that keeps his curiosity sharp. It also allows him to stay connected to his love for mathematics and problem solving. In his free time, Najid enjoys staying active, playing outdoor sports, and exploring new ideas in science and technology.

Pirjan S.

Instructor

Pirjan is an Electrical Engineering and Management student at McMaster University with a strong passion for calculus and problem-solving. Although his background is in engineering, he’s interested in pursuing a career in finance and applying his analytical skills in a new way. In his free time, Pirjan enjoys playing soccer and staying active. At Mathnasium, he aims to help students build confidence in math and find approaches that work best for them.


Mannat C.

Instructor

Mannat is a second-year business student at McMaster University studying in the IBH program. She comes to work everyday excited to educate and foster continuous growth amongst her students. During activity days, you will definitely find Mannat sitting at the table with the kids making all the crafts. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys playing hockey, driving with friends, and finding new shows to watch!  

Akhil J.

Instructor

Akhil is an IB student at Turner Fenton with a strong interest in math, problem-solving, and finance. He enjoys helping students build confidence by breaking down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. As an instructor, Akhil brings a patient and calm approach to each lesson, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions. Outside Mathnasium, he enjoys staying active through sports and is working toward a career in finance.

Mujtaba is a Health Sciences student at Western University with aspirations of pursuing a career in the medical field. He didn’t always enjoy math, but through consistent effort and practice in Grade 10, he discovered his appreciation for it grew over time. Having once struggled with math himself, Mujtaba is passionate about helping students build confidence and see math from a more positive perspective. Outside of the Centre, he enjoys listening to music and going any concert he can!

Abhi is an Honours Mathematics student at the University of Waterloo. From a young age, he was always excited about math, competing in mathematics competitions and helping his peers with their work. Abhi enjoys watching and playing sports, going to the gym, playing video games, and talking to people!  He hopes to help students understand math concepts more easily and make it a more enjoyable subject to learn.
