Paul Avery has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Manitoba. Paul has been part of Mathnasium for many years starting as an instructor, moving to Assistant Centre Director and now he is the Centre Director. He enjoys baking and making as many math puns as possible! Paul loves math because there is always something new that you can learn and eventually master. I love Mathnasium because Mathnasium’s personalized approach allows me to not only build their math skills but in many cases also their confidence. Math has become sort of a “boogeyman” subject for many students, causing stress and anxiety. They begin to question not only their abilities to do math but also begin to doubt their abilities to learn new things. Mathnasium provides a space and learning methodology that helps students overcome these doubts.
