Mary is currently majoring in mathematics at UBC. She has several years of math tutoring experience, working with students in elementary school to those in their first year of post-secondary. Mary’s passion for teaching is rooted in her experience with past professors believing in her. She loves interacting with her students and helping them grow as people. Mary also recognizes that creating a bond with her students can impact the effectiveness of her teaching.
Driven by a desire to expand knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference, Anh is currently pursuing a Master's in Global Management and a MicroMaster's in Supply Chain Management. Anh graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in the United States and brings valuable experience in tutoring college students in Math and Business courses, which will support effective contributions to Mathnasium. As someone passionate about education and firmly believing it is the key to success, Anh was part of an educational startup in Vietnam, dedicated to teaching English to orphans and underprivileged children in suburban areas. Anh constantly strives to help the community by empowering young minds and unlocking their potential, thereby contributing to brighter futures.
Kyle is studying mathematics at the University of British Columbia. He has had previous experience volunteering at high schools helping students with math, picking up an interest in teaching. He hopes to help students thrive in math, so they hate it just a little less.
Saoirse is currently a student in health sciences at SFU. She has a deep passion for teaching from her experience volunteering in several bands. Saoirse has a love for math and lives for seeing students progress in their studies. She aims for all students to enjoy and understand math more than when they first arrived.
Megan is a current student in UBC’s faculty of science. Her volunteer experience working with children has inspired her to help young students overcome challenges in math. Megan is excited to share her passion for learning and make math a fun and enjoyable subject for students.
Khalid is a second-year Computer Science student at Simon Fraser University who enjoys making math fun and easy for kids. His passion for teaching began by helping his siblings and later tutoring high school students. As a former Math Olympiad winner, he simplifies complicated concepts with step-by-step procedures. He enjoys playing soccer, video games, and coding in his free time.
