Daisy is the Owner and Director of the Crowfoot, Calgary North, and Country Hills Mathnasium centers. A graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education, Daisy spent six years in Calgary classrooms before transitioning into educational software, where she developed deep insight into how students best learn math.
Drawn to Mathnasium’s personalized learning approach, Daisy is committed to helping students break through fixed mindsets and develop a love for learning math. She fosters a calm and encouraging environment where students build confidence, discover their unique learning styles, and find joy in problem-solving.
Lisa joined Mathnasium to combine her love for math with her desire to help kids discover how useful and enjoyable the subject can be. Once a struggling student herself, Lisa found joy in math after receiving the right support in grade seven.
She believes that every student can learn to enjoy math with the right approach. In her free time, Lisa volunteers in her community and enjoys helping others live meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Imonitie is currently a second-year student at the University of Calgary doing a dual degree in Communications and English. She loves to work with the younger generation, and enjoys teaching and passing down information. Although she does not study in any scientific field, she loves examining the intersection of math in other fields, and hopes students find their passion through that. Her other interests include reading and writing, playing music, dance, and listening to podcasts and music!
Alina is currently a second year student at the University of Calgary completing a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science. She also plans to get a degree in Education afterwards. Her goal is to become an elementary school teacher. She enjoys working at Mathnasium as it allows her to interact with students and help them achieve their goals. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with her friends.
Ayman is currently a second-year student at the University of Calgary, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her main motivation is to help as many people as she can throughout her life, whether it be through education or healthcare. Growing up, she learned that math is essential no matter what field you pursue, and that critical thinking applies to everything. In her free time, Ayman loves to bake and spend time with her friends and family. She also dedicates much of her time to volunteering and helping around the city. Ayman is committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment at Mathnasium
Zainab is a Data Science major at the University of Calgary, concentrating in Mathematics. She is passionate about math and science and finds joy in helping others—especially children—develop their understanding and confidence in these subjects. Known for her curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, Zainab enjoys drawing, exploring new skills in her free time, and spending time with her family.
