Taya is a Brock University student in her second year of Teacher’s College, having completed a Mathematics degree during her undergraduate studies. She has a deep knowledge of math concepts from elementary through secondary levels and a strong foundation in both math and education.
Through her coursework, Taya has developed a variety of teaching strategies that promote creativity and help students understand concepts in ways that work best for them. She enjoys seeing students connect with math and gain confidence in their problem-solving abilities.
Ashley is in her final year of the Concurrent Education program at Brock University. She has earned her Bachelor of Science Honours in Mathematics and is completing the Teacher Education Program with qualifications to teach Mathematics and Science/Biology at the high school level.
Passionate about math education, Ashley plans to pursue a Master’s in Education with a focus on mathematics. She has volunteered in both elementary and secondary schools and enjoys baking and hiking the Bruce Trail in her free time.
Katrina is a third-year University of Toronto student studying languages and mathematics. She is working toward becoming a French and math teacher and enjoys helping students understand new concepts by guiding them step-by-step through problems.
She finds solving math problems rewarding and hopes to show students that math can be fun. In her free time, Katrina enjoys drawing, arts and crafts, cooking, and playing games. Her goal is to help students strengthen their skills and discover enjoyment in the learning process.
Lauren is in her second year at McMaster University, pursuing Honours Actuarial and Financial Math. She plans to become a Qualified Actuary after graduation and brings her passion for mathematics into her work with students.
Lauren is dedicated to helping students feel confident in their math abilities and motivated to succeed. Outside of school, she enjoys working out and camping.
