Kathryn is originally from the UK and has worked in a range of customer service and team-based roles. She's adaptable, organized, and enjoys working with people in fast-paced settings. She enjoys contributing to a positive, welcoming environment and helping ensure everything runs efficiently. Outside of work, she enjoys travel and exploring new places.
Bo is currently a third year student at University of Calgary and Athabasca University pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics. Her goal is to use this to enter the field of education. She loves math because while it can be challenging, it's rewarding to recognize patterns, problem solve, and find the solution. Teaching math is also an incredible experience. She loves being part of each student’s journey and helping them experience that same sense of satisfaction when they finally understand a concept.
Roya has taught all levels of mathematics from elementary through to college both in Canada and in Iran. She joins us with a Masters degree in Mathematics along with 20 plus years of teaching experience. Her kind, caring demeanor is easily felt by students and team members.
My name is Nadia, I am 22 years old, and I am one of the lead instructors at Mathnasium of Killarney. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary in Astrophysics with a minor in Mathematics, and aspire to complete my Bachelors of Education next! I am passionate about math and science education, specifically optimizing the learning process for different learning styles. A fun fact about me is I am also very passionate about animals and animal care. During my spare time, I work with a dog, cat, and tortoise, and own a 12 year old cat named Stella!
My name is Leila. I got my master degree in statistics and mathematics from University of Saskatchewan. I also have another master degree in financial math. My favourite subjects are statistics and algebra.
Hi, I’m Milad! I’m a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary. I’ve always loved math because it’s like solving puzzles and finding creative ways to tackle challenges. I enjoy helping students understand new concepts, build confidence, and discover that math doesn’t have to be difficult or scary. I believe everyone can be good at math with the right support and practice. My goal is to make learning math fun, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student!
Jamie is a recent graduate of William Aberhart High School going into Pre Health Sciences at SAIT next fall. She has a passion not only for math but for music too (you'd be surprised how much math is needed for music theory!). She plays jazz guitar in multiple local ensembles and can be seen singing and dancing on stage in community theatre. She also happens to have her black belt in karate. She's a musical mathematical martial artist!
Alexa is a twelfth grade high school student with a passion for math. She believes that math and creativity go hand in hand, and problem solving encourages imaginative thinking. In her spare time, Alexa enjoys singing, musical theater, fashion, and exploring science. She hopes to bring enthusiasm and curiosity about math to students as she shares her love of the subject!
Hi! I'm Brayden, a recent graduate with a degree in Astrophysics from the University of Calgary. I believe that math is the universe's language, and so my hope is to help students understand and speak it using skills and tactics we'll develop together! However, this process can be quite stressful at times, so sports and games are two ways I love to relieve that! Thus, if you want to improve your literacy in math, while also talking about your favorite sports and/or games, I'm your guy!
