Leah is a passionate educator with 20 years of experience and has been part of the Mathnasium family for over a decade. With experience as a classroom teacher, curriculum specialist, and in various leadership roles within Mathnasium, she brings both expertise and enthusiasm to Mathnasium of Leaside.
Leah is committed to being a positive influence in students’ lives and loves watching them gain confidence through math. Her goal is to inspire every student to grow—not only in their skills but in their belief in what they can achieve.
Fatima is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University and has been with Mathnasium with 6+ years. Starting as an Instructor, she worked her way up to become Centre Director through dedication and a passion for helping students succeed. Fatima thrives on seeing “lightbulb” moments and believes that nurturing a love for math can truly change lives.
Outside of the centre, she enjoys exploring good food, spending time with family, and expressing her creativity through art.
Tarik has been a member of the Mathnasium Team since the spring of 2024 and quickly became a fan favourite. With a Bachelor of Engineering from McMaster University, Tarik loves to show our students how math can be fun and applied in many ways! Tarik began his journey as an Instructor and is excited for his new role as Assistant Centre Director.
Fatima joined the team at Leaside in 2022. With a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from TMU, and a Bachelor of Education from OISE, Fatima has dedicated herself to helping students foster a passion for math both in and outside of the centre! Fatima loves to see our students build confidence and grow as learners.
Michael joined the Mathnasium Team in 2022 and has helped hundreds of students develop confidence and a passion for math. With a Bachelor degree in Mathematics from the University of Toronto, and now enrolled in the Education program at Ontario Tech University, Michael knows how important it is to tailor instruction to the student's specific needs and help them grow as a learner. Michael loves to show our students how to apply math in a variety of ways while having fun at the same time!
