Grace holds a BSc in Psychology from Queen’s University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo. Throughout her academic journey, she has been actively involved in tutoring and teaching mathematical concepts, particularly inferential statistics, among other subjects. Beyond her academic pursuits, Grace has dedicated herself to supporting children aged 3 to 18 through her work with community and non-profit organizations. Her passion for empowering students in their learning led her to Mathnasium, where she contributes to a dynamic environment that gamifies education and scaffolds mathematical understanding, making it easier for students to grasp new concepts. In her spare time, Grace enjoys watching stand-up comedy and movies, reading, and nurturing her plants.
Hi, my name is Keira and I currently attend Western University. I am in my second year, majoring in Mathematics with goals of becoming a teacher. When I was young I struggled a lot with math, and over the years I started to enjoy it more and more. Now, math is my favourite subject! I think it’s important for students to understand that math will be hard sometimes, but with the right practice and effort anything is possible!! In my free time I enjoy playing sports, going for walks outside with my dogs and hanging out with my friends.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
