Hua Yi

Hua Yi

Co-Owner & Center Director
Hua is a co-owner and the Centre Director at Mathnasium of McKenzie Towne. Hua has a bachelor’s degree in engineering. She loves mathematics and believes the math is the keystone for all another academic subjects. She is a team player and would like to share her enthusiasm for math with young students. Hua strongly believes Mathnasium of McKenzie Towne is a great organization encouraging the next generation to always enjoy the fun during their math learning progress. In her spare time, Hua loves skiing, gardening, and travelling around the world.

Mouri Shahabuddin

Co-Owner
Mouri is proud to be an instructor at Mathnasium of McKenzie Towne. She has always enjoyed Math throughout her school years and is passionate about helping children gain confidence in their math skills. Mouri has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and she is currently pursuing her MBA at the Haskayne School of Business. Mouri wants to continue teaching math the Mathnasium way as she has noticed the importance of math in everyday life. Outside Mathnasium, she enjoys playing badminton,travelling and spending quality time with friends and family.

Mohiuddin Talukder

Co-Owner
Mohiuddin (Mo) is a self professed math geek and loves working with children . Mo is committed to teaching kids math in a way that makes sense to them. Mo is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with a degree in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick and enjoys exploring new technologies. In his spare time, he is a pro at table tennis, enjoys networking and travelling.

Jordyn

Assistant Centre Director

Jordyn has a BSc in Astrophysics and Physics from the University of Calgary. She has loved math since she was a child and continues to use valuable math skills in her studies. As an instructor at Mathnasium, Jordyn hopes to share her enthusiasm for math with students and help them understand the role that math plays in everyday life. In her free time, Jordyn enjoys playing video games, spending time with her cats, and knitting.

Angi

Instructor
Angi is an undergraduate at the University of Calgary, majoring in Math and Computer Science. Math is one of her favourite subjects: there are limitless approaches to solve problems. She wants to motivate other students by helping them discover their interest in math and build stronger problem-solving skills. She enjoys playing badminton, spending time with friends, and binge-watching drama episodes.

Julienne

Instructor
Julienne is an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology. She hopes to help students gain confidence in their math skills as she believes that proficiency in math opens doors to lots of opportunities. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, trying new food places around the city, and spending time with her family.

Patrick

Instructor
Patrick is an undergraduate student at the University of Lethbridge, majoring in Computer Science. His love for math started at a young age and he enjoys sharing his passion with others. As a Mathnasium Instructor, he strives to develop stronger problem-solving skills in students. In his free time, Patrick enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as playing the saxophone.

Andre

Instructor
Andre is an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary, majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Mathematics. He has always enjoyed math due to the endless opportunities it offers to learn and discover. As an instructor, he hopes to nurture that same passion in students. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his dogs, listening to music and working in a research lab.

Faith

Instructor
Faith is an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary, pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing. Mathematics was her top favourite subject for the longest time, until science began to compete. Even then, it still remains one of her favourites. As a math instructor, she hopes to ignite a passion for mathematics in students, as well as encourage them to challenge themselves. In her free time, Faith likes to play piano, skate, and spend time with family.

Joey

Instructor
Joey is an aeronautical engineer and aircraft mechanic who loves airplanes and math! He is currently upgrading his skills by studying avionics at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology as a step toward becoming a commercial pilot. Joey has always been passionate about math and enjoys showing how it plays an important role in flying and aviation. As an instructor at Mathnasium, Joey is excited to share his love for math with students and help them discover how fun and useful math can be in everyday life! Outside of work, Joey loves playing basketball and going trail biking.

Mansa

Instructor
Mansa has a Master of Engineering in Petroleum from the University of Alberta. She is passionate about helping students develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and build confidence in their abilities. Her approach combines personalized instruction with engaging activities to cater to diverse learning styles. She is currently upgrading her skills to become a Professional Engineer.
