My name is Lisa, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology, as well as a Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience. I am currently working toward my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, where my research focuses on memory and decision-making. I’ve always been drawn to math for its logical structure and problem-solving nature, especially in how it connects to understanding patterns in human behavior and data. I enjoy helping students build confidence in math by breaking down complex concepts into manageable and intuitive steps.
Outside of academics, I enjoy creative pursuits such as crocheting and designing handmade pieces, as well as photography and 3D design & printing. I’m also a big dog lover and spend a lot of time with my two doodle dogs, Cookie and Mousse. I value balance between analytical thinking and creativity, and I try to bring that same energy into both my teaching and everyday life.

Hi everyone! My name is Bhagya Natarajan and I’m currently a Master of Science in Global Health student at McMaster University. I previously studied Health Sciences at Queen’s University and have been working at Mathnasium since 2020. Math has always been one of my favourite subjects in high school, and even though I went on to study the sciences, I’ve loved continuing to share that interest by supporting students of all ages at Mathnasium. Outside of school and tutoring, I enjoy reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
Through Mathnasium, I’m able to pursue my passion of teaching math and helping students grow, become better learners, and feel confident.
I obtained my Honors Bachelor’s of Science degree (Chemistry) at McMaster University, became an Ontario Secondary Teacher (Math and Science), and completed my Masters Degree in Education Leadership through the University of Yorkville. Mathnasium’s mission aligned well with mine; with the right ingredients, I believe that anyone can learn well and that learning is truly the key to improving ourselves every day.
Working with the staff at Mathnasium of Meadowvale is a true honor because I also get to help young instructors find their passion and grow professionally. My team at Mathnasium of Meadowvale is amazing to work with and loved by students and families.
