It’s that time of year where we eagerly start to make summer plans for vacations, day trips, and kids summer camps and programs.

The team here at Mathnasium of Newmarket is very excited for the summer. Why? Because this summer we’re running four Camp Mathnasium programs, where your child can have a blast with math!

Super cool and educational, your child will love Camp Mathnasium. It adds up to great fun that keeps your child’s math skills sharp for the next school year and opens their mind to new possibilities!

Camp Mathnasium offers a special weeklong, multi-hour experience for kids in grades 1 through 6. Campers will learn face-to-face with our highly trained instructors, play new, innovative games developed by our education experts, and explore STEM-related projects each day.

We’re offering 4 weeks of summer day camp for children in Grades 1 through 6 at our Newmarket math learning centre. Here are the summer camp details and fees:

Camp Dates:

• July 11-15, 2022
• July 18-22, 2022
• August 8-12, 2022
• August 15-19, 2022

Time: 1pm to 4pm (3 hours per day)

Fees:

• $139/week for currently enrolled students
• $289/week for new students

*Snacks are included.

*Weekly day camps will only run with a minimum number of registrations. Mathnasium of Newmarket reserves the right to cancel/reschedule dates.

What Does a Typical Day at Camp Mathnasium Look Like?

Camp Mathnasium is both fun and enriching. It can help keep your child’s math abilities strong for the coming school year in a fascinating and fun environment!

Each hour of camp is filled with fun and learning:

Hour 1: Face-To-Face Teaching with Our Expert Math Instructors: Explore grade-level concepts, build mental math and number sense abilities, and become more mathematical thinkers.

Hour 2: Fun Math & STEM Activities: Enjoy math-related activities developed by our education experts just for Camp Mathnasium, including our super-popular tangrams and geoboards. Have a blast exploring science, technology, engineering, and math.

Hour 3: Fun Learning Games: Play checkers, chess, and Mathnasium-branded games that challenge the mind and develop strong problem-solving skills!

Is Camp Mathnasium Different from Mathnasium’s other Math Learning Programs?

Camp Mathnasium is a stand-alone program that can also work in combination with our traditional programs of 2-3 sessions per week. Mathnasium’s traditional summer programs will continue throughout the summer break as well, so we’re here for your child whether they need to catch up, keep up or want to get ahead. For current students enrolled at our math learning centre, you can add Camp Mathnasium to your current program.

Overall, Camp Mathnasium is a great enrichment addition to our traditional summer and year-round programs. Campers will enjoy attending, and you’ll love how your kids are ready to start the school year strong, with a new appreciation for the power of math!
