Cassandra

Centre Director
Cassandra is an Ontario Certified Teacher. She graduated from York University with a BSc in Mathematics for Education as well as a BEd. She has qualifications in the Intermediate/Senior divisions for Mathematics and French. Cassandra always takes the time to listen to all the questions and concerns of her students. She enjoys working with numbers and teaching math concepts to students and helping them succeed and feel confident in their abilities. In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys playing and watching basketball, swimming and spending time with her family and friends. Favourite Math Joke: Q: How do numbers celebrate St. Patrick's Day? A: By D'ublin'!!! Favourite Number: 17 - because it is my lucky number.

Eleni

Math Instructor
Eleni is currently entering her 4th year of undergrad at Toronto Metropolitan University, studying Finance and Economics. She has always enjoyed math courses and now especially, likes math that deals with money and business! She has a passion for working with children and aims to help them gain the confidence she knows they can find. She loves to adapt the Socratic questioning method to get the students thinking on a deeper level and is ecstatic when they begin to understand difficult concepts. Eleni plans to become a Financial Analyst in the future, though in her later years, she hopes to further her love for teaching and become a Professor. On her free time, she loves to read and play volleyball! Volleyball is her favourite sport and she always brings one whenever she takes a trip to the beach. Favourite Math Joke: Q: Who’s in charge in a pencil case? A: The ruler! Favourite Number: 7- My birthday is November 7th :)

Oluwakemi

Kemi is entering her 4th year at Humber Polytechnic for their Bachelor of Design program. Math is integral to design, whether calculating dimensions for a new project or understanding patterns and symmetry. Kemi takes her time to understand problems at their most basic levels in simple terms to best translate them for learning students. She also loves creating fun experiences for the students through events, raffles, and games. Kemi loves attending concerts and spending time with friends in her spare time. Favourite Math Joke: Q: Why did the two fours skip lunch? A: Because they already 8! Favourite Number: 4

Raiana is in her 4th year of the Concurrent Education program (BSc in Chemistry and BEd) at Queen’s University. She understands that math is essential to every career path and is devoted to helping students achieve their goals. Raiana approaches every problem with a positive attitude and is dedicated to creating a fun and encouraging environment for the students to learn.
