Ganga Rajaram
Owner/Centre Director
Ganga has always had a passion for working with children. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Madras. She then moved to Vancouver, where both her daughters were born and raised. She encouraged them from an early age to participate in math contests and both her daughters excelled in school and went on to complete their IB Diplomas.
Ganga was a competitive middle distance runner in her youth back in India. Her keen interest in sports physiology and nutrition led to a second Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. For the last fifteen years, Ganga has tutored children in math, both privately and at established centers. More recently, she had been an instructor at the Mathnasium of Tri-Cities centre.
Ganga believes that every child can do and (enjoy!) math; it just takes some encouragement, a good attitude, and teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. Ganga realized that the Mathnasium Method is truly exceptional when she was working as an instructor at the Mathnasium of Tri-Cities center. This led her to open her own centre as a way to realize her passion for teaching children.
In her spare time, Ganga enjoys listening to music, particularly Indian Classical and Western Classical, and loves to sing. She is especially passionate about health and fitness, and enjoys yoga, jogging, biking, and hiking Vancouver’s beautiful trails.
