Ash is the owner of Mathnasium on Rochdale. Prior to opening his Mathnasium centre, Ash worked as the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Regina & Area, specializing in bringing volunteer-based mentoring programs to the youth of Regina, and Southern Saskatchewan. Having seen firsthand the tremendous impact that authentic and quality support structures can have on the trajectory of a child, Ash felt that the mandate of bringing about another tool to positively impact youth through math, was a perfect fit. Having struggled with math as a child, Ash is enthusiastic about helping every child in the community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them v.s. a one-size-fits-all all approach. He believes that through the customized learning and unique engagement approach with Mathnasium, not only can academic outcomes improve significantly, but so can confidence. And with improved confidence levels, the sky truly is the limit when it comes to the potential for any child. In his spare time, you'll find Ash glued to his awesome daughter and if he isn't with her, it's probably because he is chasing her down somewhere. She's pretty tricky like that.
