As a Center Administrator at Mathnasium, Ada oversees key operational functions, including enrollment coordination, scheduling management, and family engagement. She partners with instructional staff to deliver a high-quality, personalized learning experience and ensures smooth day-to-day operations.
Ada is an experienced education professional with over 20 years of experience in teaching, academic counselling, and educational administration in both China and Canada. She is skilled in program coordination, student support, parent communication and management of teaching teams. She earned a Master of Professional Education in TESOL from Western University and a Bachelor’s degree in English Teaching from Capital Normal University.
Her commitment to service excellence and relationship building supports student retention and drives sustainable center growth. Ada brings great experience as a centre administrator in a private school within the Richmond Hill area.
Larry Martinek is the creator of the Mathnasium Method™, a unique approach to teaching math that focuses on understanding and number sense. With experience as a teacher, school administrator, and father to a mathematically gifted son, Larry set out more than 35 years ago to fix the gap between foundational skills and advanced math instruction.
He developed a teaching system that goes beyond memorization and encourages students to think like mathematicians. Today, his method lives on in every Mathnasium lesson, helping students gain confidence, improve skills, and discover that math can make sense.
Naomi is pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering at McMaster University, where she has developed a strong appreciation for the role mathematics plays in solving real-world problems. With over five years of experience teaching STEAM programs.
Naomi has built strong communication and mentoring skills while working with children of different ages and learning styles. She is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, fostering a lasting interest in mathematics and enjoys coaching youth soccer.
Parsa is studying for a degree in biology at York university with the goal of pursuing a career in medicine. He has been tutoring for over three years in different settings, which has helped him develop strong communication , leadership, and mentoring skills, and working at Mathnasium is a continuation of that experience.
Nazanin is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Sciences at York University. She intends to further her academic journey as a medical student to become a doctor.
Mathematics has always been her favorite subject. From a young age, she enjoyed solving problems and exploring mathematical concepts, and that passion has remained with her throughout her academic career. At university, she has been tutoring mathematics, helping students build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills.
Her long-term goal is to pursue medicine, to become a doctor and continue to contribute to the healthcare field. She is passionate about learning, teaching, and supporting others in achieving their academic goals. Outside of academics, she enjoys listening to music and practicing yoga, both of which helps her maintain balance and well-being in my daily life.
Marc is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at McMaster university. His love for math inspired him to join the Mathnasium family. Marc is committed to helping students grow their confidence and understand how math works. He loves staying involved in his local community. His mission: to make math fun and accessible for every child.
Ethan is pursuing a degree in Engineering at the university of Toronto. He is very passionate about helping students develop confidence and a lifelong appreciation for numbers. Ethan is passionate and experienced in teaching fundamental math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and early problem-solving to elementary students. He is committed to supporting diverse learning needs, fostering a growth mindset, and encouraging a positive attitude toward math.
