At Mathnasium of Waterloo, building consistent math understanding is the foundation of all exam readiness, from classroom quizzes and the EQAO assessment to standardised entrance assessments for older students.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment so we can pinpoint exactly where they are and where the gaps are. From there, we build a personalized learning plan that strengthens skills session by session, no cramming required.
Our specially trained tutors support students across grades 1-12, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond, connecting what students are learning in class with the deeper understanding they need to perform well on quizzes, midterms, and finals. As an exam approaches, we can shift instruction to target the specific topics and concepts it will cover, so your student walks in prepared and confident.
Yes! Mathnasium of Waterloo prepares students for the math portions of EQAO assessment.
Our tutors understand the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum the assessment reflects, ensuring students have a solid grasp of the grade-level concepts they'll encounter on test day. We use a diagnostic assessment to identify where each student needs support and build a personalized learning plan that targets the skills they need to meet and exceed grade-level expectations.
As early as possible. The EQAO assessment measures cumulative math knowledge built over the course of the school year, which means students who build their skills consistently are far better positioned than those who begin preparing at the last minute.
Starting at the beginning of the school year gives our tutors the time needed to identify gaps, reinforce foundational concepts, and ensure students are on track well ahead of the assessment. If your student is already closer to the test date, reach out and we'll put together a focused plan with the time they have.
Math test prep at Mathnasium of Waterloo is included as part of a flat monthly membership. Pricing depends on each student's individual learning plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, please contact our centre directly. We're happy to walk you through the options and find a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
That depends on your student's starting point, the assessment they're working on, and how much time remains before test day.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of what your student needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
Yes! Students can join live, face-to-face online sessions through Mathnasium@home with our specially trained Waterloo tutors and follow the same personalized learning plan as they would in the centre.
No, there is no difference. Both formats deliver the same personalized learning plan, face-to-face instruction, and caring guidance from our tutors.
