My kids are pretty far behind with school and we worried they would feel overwhelmed but the staff at Mathnasium are amazing. My kids look forward to going every week and the progress they started making happened almost instantly! They use great teaching techniques and have amazing communication with parents! Our daughter has been absolutely flourishing in math now that she has been receiving consistent support twice a week at Mathnasium. She has a much more positive attitude about math overall and her confidence has soared.

The school is well located in our own community. There are plenty of scheduling options to choose from, reasonable flex during summer and and personalized attention for exam time preparation. Our fifteen year old has never had a tutor she didn't like and feels fully supported in her high school math and help working towards her university goals. We heart Mathnasium.

Mathnasium of Southland is an exceptional program for learning math skills and gaining confidence in math. My daughter was below grade level, struggling with ADHD. After 3 years she is now more than meeting school grade expectations, she is also confident to speak openly in class with the answers. Although tutoring is not a quick fix, you can be sure that with patience and long term support, your child will thrive. The instructors are engaging, and encourage students to keep trying with a positive attitude. The learning plans are customized and comprehensive, giving support in foundational skill development. My advice to parents is don't pull out too soon or you will miss the benefits and results that this program promises. I'm so glad I found Mathnasium of Southland because my daughter is not only thriving in math, she is thriving in life too.

Great location, highly recommend! Friendly staff, knowledgeable and great at motivating my son, who’s been coming here for about two years. His math grade improved from a B to an A so he’s definitely going to continue learning at Clarkson Mathnasium.

When we went to meet Yetunde, my daughter was overwhelmingly behind in her Math assignment. Was barely passing and in desperate need of support. I was reassured that by following the plan assigned to us by Yetunde and the tutor,my daughter will be be caught up before the end of the year. Mathnasium didn't disappoint. My kids started just last December but I can see their excitement everytime they go. They tell me they had fun after every session. The stars keep them motivated and they challenge themselves more.

Math has always been my son’s weakest subject — he absolutely hated it. For years, his grades hovered between barely passing and the low 60s. We tried all sorts of home tutors, and while some helped him avoid failing, his marks never really improved. As math got harder from Grade 8 to Grade 9, he stayed stuck in the same range. What made it even more frustrating was that my son often felt he knew the answers, but his test results told a different story. Tutors would say he understood the material and was ready, yet his grades didn’t reflect that. Some didn’t review his homework thoroughly, and a few even left early from sessions. We had always known about Mathnasium, but we hesitated — it cost more, and we worried my son might find it too strict or boring. By the end of Grade 9, with only three weeks left in the school year and his average sitting at 62%, we decided we had nothing to lose. In just those three weeks, Mathnasium helped my son raise his average to 72%. We kept him enrolled over the summer, and now in Grade 10, the change is remarkable. He finds math “quite easy,” has already scored 100% on a test, and feels confident he can keep his grades high. Yes, Mathnasium is more expensive than other options we’ve tried — but it’s worth every penny. Math is such a critical subject for future college, university, and career opportunities, and the results speak for themselves. We only wish we had made the switch sooner.
