Assistant Center Director
Kelsey graduated May 2022 with her BA in Elementary Education from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and is currently pursuing her MA in Educational Specialty areas. During her teacher preparation program she focused on upper elementary with 4th grade being her absolute favorite. She has worked in various positions before coming to Mathnasium but among her favorites have been coaching intramural volleyball, subbing in 2nd grade, and working as a disability inclusion specialist in NWSRA. Kelsey grew up in Mt. Prospect, IL but never liked math. When she attended middle school she had 2 amazing teachers who encouraged her passion for the STEAM field and boosted her confidence in working through new math concepts. She now strives to create that same experience with the students she works with at Mathnasium. Kelsey currently lives in Crystal Lake with her family and rescue dog Penny. She enjoys hiking, weekend trips, and trying new restaurants.


Jordyn is currently a senior at Illinois State University where she is majoring in Secondary Mathematics Education. She hopes to become a math teacher so that she can share her love for math with others and maybe help someone realize their love for math as well. Jordyn has had a love for math for as long as she can remember. Outside of her interest in math, she enjoys playing tennis, volleyball and hanging out with friends. Jordyn is excited to share her love for math with the students at Mathnasium!


Cindy is a retired elementary public school teacher with 38 years of teaching experience. Besides having taught Math, Language Arts, and Health in Junior High, she also taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades as a regular classroom teacher. She has spent the last 8 years teaching RtI (Response to Intervention) Math to K-8 students who struggled with Math concepts. She's very excited to again be teaching math to students. Cindy received her BA in Elementary Education from Milikin University in Decatur, IL, and her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Illinois University. She lives in McHenry with her husband of 30 years and has two grown sons. Her favorite activities include: teaching and talking about Common Core Math to anyone who will listen; being active in the Church of Holy Apostles ministries, especially singing in the choir; music; spending time with family and friends; traveling; reading; and cheering on her favorite sports teams -- the Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Cardinals.


Raji, prior to joining Mathnasium, was a full-time mom raising and working closely with her daughter while also self-teaching concepts of Data Science. She lives in Cary with her husband and daughter who is now off to elementary school. She has a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Business Administration in Systems and Finance and comes with a strong background in Mathematics. Raji is excited to pursue her childhood dream and passion of teaching, especially Mathematics which is one of her favorite subjects to learn and teach as well. Her favorite hobbies include painting, traveling, trying different cuisines and food, and playing fantasy football.


Erin graduated from Briar Cliff University with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. She is pursuing her master's degree in Data Science while working as a Web Developer. She found her love for math in high school when taking AP Calculus BC, Calculus III and AP Statistics. Outside of her interests in math, she loves reading and soccer as she played soccer all throughout high school and college. She is excited to share her love of math with the students of Mathnasium!


Tanish is currently a senior at Cary-Grove High School. Ever since elementary school, Tanish has had a love for math. He participates in activities such as basketball, Scholastic Bowl and volunteering at the Cary Food Pantry. Tanish wants to share his passion for math with other students at Mathnasium.

Sam H

Sam is a graduate of Cary-Grove. Coming from a family with a background of engineering, he has always been interested in math, but has also grown interested in biology and genetics. He now grows plants, gardens and is interested in plant breeding. Sam has experience with the common struggles of math himself and has tutored in school and for friends in the past. He wishes to help students to not only gain skills in mathematics but also grow to love it.


Emily has a passion for both educating and caring for children. She holds an Associate’s in Arts from McHenry County College and is continuing her education by taking different math classes part time at MCC, including Calculus 1 & 2. Emily plans to transfer to a university and major in Mathematics. In her free time, Emily enjoys painting, cooking, working on her financial budget, and studying calculus.


Susan is a recently retired math educator and Training & Development professional. She comes from Ireland and taught Math and General Science to 7th and 8th grade students and Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Math at the high school level in Ireland. She spent the last 10 years teaching math to adults at the College of Lake County in the Adult Education Division's High School Equivalency Certificate program. Susan also developed their math curricula to the K-12 Common Core standards, delivering faculty professional development and creating their online HSE Math textbook. Prior to moving the USA, Susan also worked in corporate training and development as a Course Development Specialist for Ericsson, and as Course Development Manager for Intel Ireland. She is very excited to again be teaching math to middle school and high school students. Susan received a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences from Dublin University, Trinity College, her Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National University of Ireland and her Masters in Education from Colorado State University. Susan lives in Cary with her husband John and has two grown children. When she is not teaching math, she likes to paint watercolor landscape paintings, garden, travel, read and listen to music. She currently has artwork at three local art shows.


Roy is currently a junior at Crystal Lake Central High School. He is a graduate of AP Calculus BC and is planning to move on to Calculus 3. For as long as he could remember, Roy has had a passion for math, science, and just about anything logical, and plans to major in computer science and engineering when he attends university. Aside from academics, he has a passion for creating and playing music with the piano and violin. He additionally holds a fourth degree black belt in taekwondo and a first degree in kendo, and is a lead instructor in both. He has been doing both music and martial arts for over 10 years. Roy is excited to share his love and understanding of math with all Mathnasium students.


Liesel is currently a junior at Prairie Ridge, where she is taking AP Calculus AB. She loves working with children and wants to get Mathnasium students excited about math! In her free time, you can find her running, hanging out with friends or spending time in the sun.


Natalie is currently a junior at Crystal Lake Central and is taking AP Calculus BC. Ever since she was young, Natalie has always had a passion for math and the STEM fields, especially computer science. At school, she is involved in hockey, drumline, math team and science Olympiad. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her friends, playing videogames and playing piano. At Mathnasium, Natalie hopes to spread her love for not only math, but learning in general.


Emma is a senior at Cary Grove High School. She has experience as a teacher’s assistant and tutor. In her free time, she participates in activities such as tech crew and writes for the school newspaper. Emma hopes that, through Mathnasium, she can have a positive impact on students.


Georgia is currently a senior at Cary Grove High School where she is taking AP Calculus AB. She plans on majoring in architecture and other forms of engineering after she graduates and is very excited to continue her studies in STEM related fields. She enjoys running for her school's cross country and track team along with being involved in clubs such as Connect Crew and NHS. Georgia has had a passion for math ever since elementary school and is more than excited to help other children develop a love for math as well.

Eamon is currently a junior at Central Michigan University. Majoring in Actuarial Science, Eamon has had a strong interest in math since elementary school. In the 6th grade he even took the time to memorize the first 200 digits of pi to celebrate Pi Day. Outside of his interests in math, Eamon is involved in many clubs and activities such as the honors program, leadership institute, and club basketball. After graduating from Central Michigan he plans to pursue a career as an actuary focusing on small business consulting.

Kiran is currently a sophomore at DePaul University considering a Computer Science and Mathematics major. Thanks to the workbooks her parents gave her as a child, math has always been Kiran's favorite subject. Aside from school, she enjoys weightlifting, playing piano, volunteering, and hanging out with her friends. She's part of many clubs too, including her school's club tennis team, student government, and honors program. Kiran can't wait to share her love of math with the students at Mathnasium while helping make learning clear and fun!

Lily graduated from Cary-Grove High School this past spring and is now attending Auburn University, studying computer science. Besides school Lily likes to dance and hang out with her friends. Math has always been Lily’s favorite subject and she is so excited to share her passion for math with everyone!

Savannah is a junior at Purdue University majoring in Landscape Architecture. She found her love of math as a young child when her mother gave her math workbooks each summer to challenge her. She has been with Mathnasium for five years and enjoys helping students learn and grow. In her free time Savannah enjoys dancing and has performed since she was three. Currently she is part of Higher Ground Dance Company at Purdue University. Savannah is excited to continue sharing her love of math with the students at Mathnasium!
