CenterDirectorAmy Becker, Center Director/Owner

Amy is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Cary. Prior to opening her Mathnasium center, Amy worked as a mathematics teacher. She has a BA in Elementary Education from Carthage College and a MA in Gifted Education from Northeastern Illinois University. Amy is enthusiastic about helping every child in the community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. She has taught and tutored children of all ages, and she is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the communities of Cary, Fox River Grove, Oakwood Hills, and Trout Valley.

"As a public educator for the past 13 years, I have seen how easy it is for students to fall behind and not always get the help they need. I often see parents at a loss of how to help their child because math is taught so differently from when they were in school. Mathnasium allows me to give each student the individualized attention they need as soon as they walk through my door. I couldn't stand the thought of leaving public education and not helping children anymore. Now,  I'm able to help each child in exactly the way they need. I still get the pleasure of working with children each day and seeing their sucesses. This truly gives me the best of both worlds!"

Kelsey, Assistant Center Director

Kelsey graduated May 2022 with her BA in Elementary Education from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and is currently pursuing her MA in Educational Specialty areas. Kelsey grew up in Mt. Prospect, IL but never like math. She enjoys hiking, weekend trips, and trying new restaurants.
