Sue Kassel

Education Coordinator
Sue is a mother of five who has three degrees in Math and Electrical Engineering. She loves volunteering at school and church. In her spare time, she enjoys Sudoku and crossword puzzles.

Everett Burns

Instructor
When he is not helping students with math, Everett plays the French Horn in the Virginia Symphony. He has a music degree from Indiana University and Rice University. VA is the sixth state he's lived in, and Mathnasium of Chesapeake is the fourth Mathnasium he has worked for. In addition to music and math, Everett enjoys reading, playing video games, hiking and making ice cream

Dave Weddle

Instructor
Dave is a retired small business manager and father of four homeschooled children. He started working at Mathnasium because his children thought he would be a kind and patient instructor. He enjoys doing outdoor activities with his wife and children.

Vanessa Plourade

Instructor
Vanessa is a Senior in the IB program at Oscar Smith High School. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and baking. Math has always been Vanessa's favorite subject, she used to spend her free time as a kid completing math workbooks for fun.

Landin Taylor

Instructor
Landin is a senior at Grassfield High School. He is in the Governor's Stem Academy where he studies programming. Landin likes to draw and make 3D models and materials.

Ayako Carter

Instructor
Ayako was born and raised in Kanagawa, Japan. After graduation from high school, she came to the U.S. for college. She enjoys spending time with her family and talking to her friends and mom in Tokyo. She loves working at Mathnasium because she can see them building confidence in their math skills! Math Joke: There are three kinds of people in the world...Those who can count and those who cannot.

Vidhi Patel

Instructor
Vidhi is a junior at Great Bridge High and plays the flute in the wind ensemble. She loves to read or paint in her free time and her favorite hobby is doing henna. She also has dual citizenship in the U.S. and India. She loves Mathnasium because she loves to help little kids understand math better. Math Joke: What do you call a reused joke? A derivative

Lydia Williams

Instructor
Lydia is a junior at Great Bridge High and has been a wildcat her whole life. In her free time, she likes to run, read, play piano, and hang out with her dog. She loves Mathnasium because she enjoys being able to help kids learn math and understand it while reaching their full potential. Math Joke: Parallel lines have so much in common...it's a shame they'll never meet.

Sebastien Jacques

Intructor
Sebastien is a high school senior at Great Bridge High. He loves playing basketball, working out, and gaming. He wants to study engineering in college and become a Formula 1 Engineer. He loves Mathnasium because he enjoys seeing the kids understand the concepts they were initially struggling with.

Will Murrin

Instructor
Will is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard. Will is currently studying English Education and wants to become a teacher. In his free time, he likes to run and rock climb. He loves Mathnasium because it makes learning math fun and easy. Our community is great, and the kids really like to be here.
