Diana Marquez, Lead Learning Center Instructor

My name is Diana Marquez and I was born here in El Paso, and raised in Juarez (now I am fluent in both English and Spanish). I attended Del Valle High School, where I graduated 4th in my class. Currently I am attending UTEP pursuing a career in Environmental Science.
Throughout my education I have always been fond of mathematics, joining the Math Team in my middle school and high school. I enjoy teaching math to others to show them how fun it can be. I believe that when a child is given the education they need, they will succeed and  be fond of mathematics. I am proud to be working at Mathnasium and I look forward to work with your child.

Daniela Montes, Learning Center Instructor

My name is Daniela Montes. I was born in El Paso, Texas and attended Del Valle High School. I am currently attending El Paso Community College and  finishing my associates in science in order to attend NMSU for my Civil Engineering degree.
Math was always my favorite subject. I even participated to the UIL Math competitions and I was able to compete even outside the city. Math was very influential to me and very fun to do since I was in middle school. I am so glad to be part of the Mathnasium team and able to help others to better understand the subject. I am looking forward to helping your child through this journey to reach their best potential.

 Joe Smith, Learning Center Instructor

My name is Joe Smith. I was born and raised in El Paso. I graduated from Socorro High School. I have an Associate's in Computer Science from EPCC and will graduate from UTEP with my bachelor's degree in Computer Science this December.

I've always been interested in the STEM fields and was able to compete in certain subjects when I reached high school. I managed to place in the state level twice in both Medical Math and Technical Drafting. I was able to take advantage of the opportunities my school offered due to my love of math and I hope to inspire other students to do the same. I'm excited to be part of the Mathnasium team and hope to be positive influence in your child's pursuit of math.

Ivy Zheng, Learning Center Instructor

I’m Ivy. I was born in Manhattan, New York, moved to Florida at the age of five, and recently moved to El Paso in 2019. I am currently attending Americas high school and participate in extracurriculars such as being swim team captain, member of student council and key club.

Growing up I’ve always looked forward to math class and found it unchallenging to learn. Teaching kids math has not only been a passion of mine. It has shown me how to be patient while teaching young individuals by expressing the values behind the subject and applying it to the outside world. Thank you for choosing Mathnasium and allowing me the pleasure to work with your child.

Cody Brunson, Learning Center Instuctor

Hi my name is Cody Brunson,

I was born here in El Paso, Texas. I am currently attending Americas High School where I am in advanced early college classes. I am a member of my school’s swim team, National Honor Society, and a former member of student council.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always been drawn to math. In fact throughout middle school I was a part of the math team, and I was able to qualify to state for Number Sense, (mental math), two years in a row! I think it is extremely fun to teach others math, and of course I think it is very important because math is basically the foundation of everything in this world. I am so grateful to be teaching others and to have the opportunity to work here at Mathnasium, and just know that when your children come here, they will certainly excel in their math skills.

Christopher Gross, Learning Center Instructor

I'm Christopher Gross,

I am a senior attending Cathdral High School in he top 10% of my graduating class. Currently in school, I serve as Founder and President of the Thespian Society, Founder and President of the Chess Club, and Historian of The National Honor Society. I aslo served as Vice President of our Student Council, and Secretary of the Pre-Med Club.

I actually attended Mathnasium as a student four years ago to enhance my math skills to a higher level. As a student, I enjoyed the invigorating experience of an intellectual safe place. I am now glad to have the opportunity to teach other students who are now in the same spot I was in. Some hobbies of mine include skateboarding, drawing, and listening to Nirvana and metal music.
