Aubrey Hamto
Owner and Center Director
Aubrey Hamto is the Center Director of Mathnasium of Glenn Dale. With more than 16 years of experience in education, including 11 years teaching math for PGCPS, she has helped students of all skill levels thrive. Aubrey earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education majoring in Mathematics, graduating Cum Laude, and later completed her Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics.
She is passionate about teaching math in ways that truly make sense, while also instilling values that help students face life’s challenges. Aubrey enjoys cooking, spending time with her two kids, and volunteering in her church’s outreach programs.
James Doherty
Assistant Center Director
James is a graduate of Prince George's Community College with an associate’s degree in Secondary Education and plans to complete his 4-year degree to become a certified science teacher. Inspired by the passionate teachers in his life, he hopes to create that same lasting impact on the next generation of students.
At Mathnasium, James loves how instruction focuses on number sense rather than rote memorization. In his free time, he enjoys exploring technology, spending time with friends, and relaxing with his cat.

Ian Delk
Senior Lead Instructor
Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. His favorite subjects are math and science, and he enjoys showing students how classroom concepts connect to real-world applications.
In his free time, Ian designs and paints 3D-printed miniatures and plays video games. He was recognized as Mathnasium’s Instructor of the Year in 2024 at the Annual Convention in Seattle. Favorite number: 64. Favorite joke: “What’s a math teacher’s favorite kind of tree? Geometry.”
Simone Skerritt
Instructor
Simone earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland. He has worked as an art instructor and as a reading and math tutor, bringing a unique perspective to his teaching. Simone believes that math, like art, is for everyone, and he loves helping students gain both confidence and skills.
In his free time, Simone enjoys watching horror films, drawing cartoons, and teaching his dogs how to wrestle. His creative approach and supportive energy inspire students to see learning as a way to explore the world around them.
Faridah Olayiwola

Faridah Olayiwola is a senior attending Eleanor Roosevelt High School as a part of the Science and Technology program. She is pursuing a career in the STEM field, more specifically computer science or engineering. She is a part of many clubs/activities at Eleanor Roosevelt, a couple of her roles being the president of Girls Who Code as well as the treasurer of Do Something Club, a club where they encourage students to participate in service-learning hour activities and give back to their community. Faridah has always enjoyed math and over her years of schooling has developed a love for the subject. Eden Bisrat is a senior attending Eleanor Roosevelt High School as a part of the Science and Technology program. She strives to have a career in the medical field. She participates in many extracurriculars at her school such as playing the violin for the school’s orchestra, and being part of the school’s swim team. Eden used to struggle with math and most of the concepts never made sense to her. After 4 years of being a student at Mathnasium, her confidence in math has boosted as well as her love for it, and as a former student she wants to share this confidence with other students who are struggling too.
