John Lee, Owner/Center Director
John Lee is a CPA with over 25 years of experience, 10 with a Big 4 international accounting firm and 15 with the world's premier financial guaranty insurance company. His roles for these companies include being a senior manager and a director. John realizes how a strong understanding of math can lead to success not only in business, but also in other areas like carpentry, engineering, and science. John has an M.B.A. in Accounting from New York University and a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College.
After spending over 25 years as a CPA, John is now pursuing his passion as an educator. An important skill that has enabled John to progress in his previous career is the ability to explain difficult tax and accounting concepts and strategies in simple, understandable terms to his staff, senior management or clients who do not have the basic knowledge of these technical issues. He and his team are ready to apply the Mathnasium Method to teach your child math the way that makes sense to them.
John has two children, who excel in math in the Manhasset School System. He realizes how important education is to parents in the Great Neck, Little Neck, Douglaston, and surrounding areas. He understands that the economy is being globalized and competition for better jobs is more dependent on a solid understanding of math and not the memorization of formulas and procedures. John has done this for his own children and he looks forward to do the same for yours.
