Matt Karstens

Assistant Center Director

Matt graduated from Sewanee with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Master of Science in Applied Statistics. He enjoys making and playing games with the kids, writing, and doing impromptu math problems. Math is everywhere, so you might as well find it where you're already having fun!

Matthew Camire

Instructor

Matthew is originally from Massachusetts where he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics as well as a minor in secondary education. His students are quick to notice he's a huge nerd (video games, anime, D&D), and he is also a novice woodworker and major dog afficianado!

Cady Russel

Instructor

Cady graduated from UTC in 2022 with her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Mathematics Education. She is currently an online student at MTSU pursuing her master’s in Curriculum and Design with a concentration on digital teaching and learning. She has also been with Mathnasium for five years!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
