John Montaquila is a seasoned math tutor with over 7 years of experience in education. He graduated with honors from Fitchburg State University, earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics. While proficient in teaching all levels, John specializes in high school courses such as Calculus, Pre-calculus and Algebra 2, among others. He believes in implementing a Socratic teaching technique whenever possible, where he guides students to think critically to discover answers themselves rather than providing direct solutions. He believes this method not only helps them in their math classes, but helps them become better learners all around. John's passion extends beyond math; he enjoys studying Japanese, playing chess and video games, and practicing the drums."
