Lilly Teng

Education Director
Lilly Teng has worked at Mathnasium for over 6 years. She also taught at Lexington Public Schools for ten years. Through her background in mathematics and experience, she gained knowledge of math requirements at different grade levels. Coupled with her familiarity with Mathnasium materials, she is able to cater to students with different needs by providing them with suitable materials to reinforce their skills. Ms. Teng was formerly, an energy economist at Global Insight Inc. She used econometric models to forecast energy prices and provide market insight to energy and utility companies. She is a graduate of Wellesley College with a B.A. in mathematics and has an M.B.A from Columbia University finance/international business. Lilly is passionate about teaching students and wants to make it a fun and enjoyable experience for students.

Victoria Moniz

Senior Instructor
Victoria is an instructor at Mathnasium Of Acton/Concord. She graduated with her Master's Degree in Special Education. She also has a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Victoria always loved Math and considers it to be her favorite subject. It has always come easy for her. Working with children to help them understand Math is a key part of the reason she joined the education field. She is excited to be part of Mathnasium Team and teach Math to the kids.

Bryan Holmes

Senior Instructor
Bryan Holmes holds a bachelor's degree from Wheaton College (MA) with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Hispanic Studies. Drawn to numbers from a young age, Bryan has explored his interest in math since graduating in 2009 through a variety of tutoring and teaching roles. Bryan has several years of tutoring experience in math levels ranging from elementary school to high school, and scored a 710 out of 800 (88th percentile) on the quantitative section of the GRE. He is excited to bring his passion for math to the Mathnasium team!

Andrew Termini

Senior Instructor
Andrew has been with Mathnasium Acton/Burlington since September of 2020 and he completed his Master's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematical science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He thoroughly enjoys working with children and young adults, helping them to develop their skills. His favorite subject has always been math and how it can be used to solve real world problems. He has tutored students in math for years, along with various sciences such as chemistry and physics. In addition to having experience working with kids of all ages, Andrew has experience working with students on various individualized education programs (IEPs); Including students with Autism, ADHD, and other special needs. He has fun teaching students math and creates an environment where the students have fun learning from him as well.

Bruno Kaufmann

Instructor
Bruno holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He spent the summer of 2018 working as a Teaching Fellow for Breakthrough Collaborative, when he discovered his passion for teaching Mathematics. Since then, he has led several programs and taught students ranging from elementary school to college. Apart from math, he has also taught programming and robotics. Bruno strives to always use the most effective teaching methods, and is enthusiastic about using the Mathnasium way to take kids to their next level.

Patrick Curran

Instructor
Patrick Curran has a bachelor’s degree in both History and Political Science from Villanova University with honors. Since graduation, he has had a passion for teaching, spending 30 years teaching both perspective coders and medical doctors how to properly translate medical and operative reports into diagnoses and procedural codes at local hospitals in the Greater Boston area. For last eight( 8) years, Patrick has taken this passion for teaching to the public school system, first in Town of Belmont, and now currently in Town of Arlington, helping 7th grade students across the board in core classes. Patrick also assists in Math Support classes at the 7th level, using his teaching abilities to make what appears to be complex topics into readily understandable concepts. Patrick looks forward to doing the same for Mathnasium students ranging from Kindergarten to Middle School level.

Sam

Carmichael
My name is Sam Carmichael. I'm from Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Massachusetts in 2016. Hobbies/special interests include Star Wars, video games, reading, and general nerdy-ness. I am certified by the FAA as an Airframe Mechanic and love to work with kids.
