Jesse graduated from UC Berkeley in 2019 with a degree in Molecular Biology. He brings energy and enthusiasm to the Mathnasium team, helping students grow in confidence and skill.
In his free time, Jesse enjoys playing real-life quidditch, board games, and poker.
Andre holds an Electrical Engineering degree from McGill University and spent over 25 years in telecommunications and multimedia. Before Mathnasium, he was a Senior VP at iHeartRadio in NYC.
A longtime educator and coach, Andre opened Mathnasium of Albany-Berkeley to provide students with personalized math support. He’s lived in Canada, Germany, Panama, and the U.S., and is a proud local parent and community advocate.
Miles graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He enjoys helping students understand and enjoy math.
In his spare time, Miles watches movies, reads, and continues learning through community college classes.
Christie holds a B.A. in Humanities from CSU Chico. She enjoys creating a welcoming environment for families at Mathnasium.
Outside of work, she loves biking, baking cookies, and spending time in the park with her nieces and nephew.
Takeo is studying Computer Science at Diablo Valley Community College. He enjoys helping students break down complex math topics into understandable steps.
When he’s not at the center, Takeo likes hanging out with friends, playing video games, and working out.
Ji One loves writing fiction, going for long walks and watching Youtube.
Zoe is a high school student in Albany. She likes that math can help you solve real life problems, and that there often is more than one way to get to the solution. She enjoys helping students find new ways to get to the solution. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, biking, and making art.
Ezra is a sophomore at Albany High School enrolled in Math 2/3. He enjoys using the critical thinking and logical reasoning required to solve math problems. In his free time, he enjoys running the mile, playing the clarinet, and solving Rubik's cubes as fast as possible.
Harsheet is in his junior year at Albany High School. He enjoys listening to music, traveling and playing tennis. He likes math because its influence over many fields like science, engineering and finance.
Oliver is a junior at El Cerrito High School. Some of his hobbies include playing the French horn, playing with his dog, and spending time with his friends. He has completed AP Calculus BC and is going to take multivariable calculus at a local community college soon. He has a passion for mathematics and hopes to major in it once he goes off to college.
Tiegan is a student at Albany High School where she enjoys learning alongside her classmates. As an instructor at Mathnasium, Tiegan finds satisfaction in helping students build solid strategies to solve math problems. Outside of school, Tiegan loves to spend time with friends and family, snowboard, golf, draw and read.
Suvanjan, a third-year student at Albany High School, is passionate about helping the next generation with math, aiming to make it relevant to everyday life. Outside of academics, he enjoys working out, listening to music, and spending time with friends. While math is his favorite subject, he also has a keen interest in computers.
Daniel is a Senior at Albany High School where he takes Calculus BC. In his spare time he enjoys playing video games, running and listening to music.
Rojina is a Junior at Albany High School. When she's not busy with school and work, she enjoys reading, listening to music and cooking. She loves cooking pasta with her Mom!
Tamim is a Senior at Albany High School in Calculus AB. He likes solving math problems that can be done mentally, and finds great satisfaction when new formulas and theorems are learned. He also loves exercising, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.
Francisco is a graduate student at the University of San Francisco in the International and Development Economics program. Francisco does climate impact research using geospatial data, particularly on coastal communities. He constantly uses multivariable calculus and other higher-order math to construct models and to explain the various interactions of the natural world and human behavior. He plays ultimate frisbee and soccer in his free time and even captains his own co-ed adult soccer team in Berkeley. What he enjoys about math is how every problem is like a puzzle, just waiting to be solved.
Rachel is a student at Foothill College studying Geographic Information Systems and Technology. She has always loved math, and is passionate about helping others find joy in it too. Her hobbies include cooking, watching comedies on TV, and spending time outside.
Jessica is a Math Student at UC Berkeley. She was born and raised in LA and enjoys taking dance classes, baking and snuggling with her cat Leonardo DiCaprio.
