Alan Brown

Alan Brown

Owner & Director
Alan was born in Las Vegas but spent the majority of his educational career in Northern Nevada. He went to Spanish Springs High School, where he was a triathlete and earned his advanced & honors diploma. During his time there, he took almost every math class his high school offered and often tutored his fellow classmates. He then attended the University of Nevada, Reno in pursuit of a Biology degree. After completing his first year of college, he decided to transfer to UNLV to finish his undergraduate program. It was shortly after this transition that he became an instructor for Mathnasium. This opportunity allowed him to share his passion for teaching and mathematics. He was a lead instructor for three years while he earned his degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. He spent two years as a Center Director and then four years as a Regional Director, where he oversaw 15 learning centers. Alan is now honored to serve all of our families as the Owner & Director for Mathnasium of Aliante to continue changing lives through math.

Rowena

Assistant Director
Row genuinely loves learning! During her undergraduate program for her Bachelor of Science degree, she really enjoyed her business classes. That discovery led her to pursuing and earning a Master of Business Administration degree. Row loves traveling and had great experiences exploring many countries in Europe. She enjoys spending time with family and appreciates a good documentary. Row believes math is fun and is proud to be part of Mathnasium of Aliante!

Vinesh

Lead Instructor
The idea of venturing into areas not meant for humans is what intrigues Vinesh. He considers the idea of floating in the endless vacuum of space to be freeing, and he hopes to have that life-changing experience himself. Thinking about colonizing the dark side of the moon, setting up mining facilities on asteroids, or taking that “first step for man” on Mars, all get his juices flowing and adrenaline pumping. Vinesh is currently attending UNLV in pursuit of a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, and plans to go on to study Astronautical Engineering.

Sasha

Lead Instructor
Working at the Mathnasium has allowed Sasha to combine two of her biggest passions: working with kids and serving her community. After she completes her B.S. in Microbiology at UNLV, she plans on attending nursing school and eventually becoming a nurse practitioner. Her desire to make genuine connections and help as many people as she can is what gravitated her towards a career in healthcare. While in school, she has earned her phlebotomy license and regularly volunteers with the Red Cross. As a lead instructor, it’s been insanely exciting to watch students grow and see the positive impact that’s being made.

Mia

Instructor
Mia is a dedicated individual who passionately believes in the power of education to transform lives. With a strong background in mathematics and an unwavering commitment to helping others succeed, they have found their purpose working at Mathnasium. As a Mathnasium instructor, Mia strives to make math accessible and engaging for students of all ages and skill levels. Motivated by the desire to instill confidence in young learners and help them develop a strong foundation in math, Mia is driven to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment at Mathnasium. Their ultimate goal is to empower students to not only excel in math but also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Anthony

Instructor
Anthony is a dedicated and compassionate individual, deeply committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him. His passion for helping others is evident in his daily interactions and his unwavering desire to see people succeed. Currently, Anthony is pursuing his academic at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he is diligently working towards becoming a physical therapist. Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, he has a profound love for mathematics. He finds math not only intriguing but also incredibly practical for solving future problems. He is very thrilled and excited to be apart of the Mathnasium team!

Robert

Instructor

Robert has always been fascinated by building and creating. His lifelong desire to make and construct things is what led him to pursue engineering. After high school, he plans to attend an out-of-state university to earn his PhD in mechanical engineering. Math has played a significant role in his life, and throughout school, it was always his favorite subject. Now, he's excited to share that passion with others!

Our Mathnasium Mission
