Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Bryan

Center Director

Bryan has lived in Las Vegas for over 15 years and holds a Mathematics degree from UNLV. With more than a decade of tutoring and teaching experience, he has served in multiple Mathnasium roles, including Instructor, Lead Instructor, Assistant Director, and Administrator, building a strong foundation in personalized math instruction.

He is passionate about helping students understand concepts, gain confidence, and enjoy learning. Fascinated by STEM fields like astronomy and paleontology, Bryan brings curiosity and enthusiasm to every session while fostering supportive relationships with students and families.

Rowena

Assistant Director

Rowena loves learning and holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA. She discovered a passion for business during her undergraduate studies, which led her to pursue graduate education.

In addition to her academic interests, Rowena enjoys documentaries, family time, and traveling across Europe. She believes that math is fun and finds great joy in being part of a team that helps students succeed through the Mathnasium Method™.

Shannon

Lead Instructor

Shannon is an experienced math educator who helps students build real confidence and long‑lasting skills. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s in Secondary Education, and has taught elementary, middle, and high school math in full‑time classroom roles. Shannon knows exactly what schools expect at each grade level and uses that insight to create clear, supportive instruction where students feel safe to ask questions, fill gaps, and discover that math can be both understandable and enjoyable.

Sasha

Lead Instructor
Working at the Mathnasium has allowed Sasha to combine two of her biggest passions: working with kids and serving her community. After she completes her B.S. in Microbiology at UNLV, she plans on attending nursing school and eventually becoming a nurse practitioner. Her desire to make genuine connections and help as many people as she can is what gravitated her towards a career in healthcare. While in school, she has earned her phlebotomy license and regularly volunteers with the Red Cross. As a lead instructor, it’s been insanely exciting to watch students grow and see the positive impact that’s being made.

Mia

Instructor

Mia brings a strong background in math and a deep belief in the power of education. She is committed to making math accessible and engaging for students of all ages.

At Mathnasium, Mia helps students build confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom. She creates a nurturing learning environment where students feel supported on their path to success.

Kandice

Instructor

Kandice is a college student at CSN working toward her Associate of Science degree, with plans to transfer to UNLV and major in chemistry. She is passionate about helping others and hopes to become a chemist to contribute to scientific breakthroughs. In her free time, Kandice enjoys playing video games, baking, and exploring creative projects.

Margo

Instructor

Margo is currently studying Mathematics at UNLV with a minor in Secondary Education. She loves helping students move from feeling confused to feeling confident in math by breaking concepts into clear, simple steps. Her goal is to continue serving Las Vegas families as a future CCSD math teacher.

Evalyn

Instructor

Evalyn is an advanced math student at Northwest Career and Technical Academy, where she studies biomedical sciences. She plans to become a child psychologist, which reflects her deep commitment to understanding and supporting students. At school, Evalyn is active in multiple clubs and is known for her leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. She brings that same patience and care to working with students, helping them feel comfortable, encouraged, and capable in math.

Our Mathnasium Mission
