Hank is currently a student at Pasadena High School. He plans to attend either a UC or private out of state college where he will study in the architecture and business fields. As a former Mathnasium student and an extrovert, Hank has an understanding and love for the way that Mathnasium not only helps students build off of their foundational knowledge, but provides them with meaningful and lasting methods of problem solving. Having a friendly personality and understanding each student’s situation helps him get a sense of how to best help them. Hank's hobbies outside of work include bodybuilding, cooking, watching his favorite series on repeat, and thrifting!
Leigh is a recent high school graduate who will be pursuing a degree in Art History at Reed College. She has been tutoring at the middle school she attended since her sophomore year of high school and specializes in math test prep. She is excited to help Mathnasium students find the passion for numbers that she's carried for so long. Outside of Mathnasium, Leigh can be found around LA in museums, pottery classes, and playing with the neighborhood pets.
Lincoln is pursuing a bachelors degree in civil engineering. He hopes to one day work on a large scale project designing a new neighborhood in place of the 710 freeway Pasadena stub. He loves to help others and strives to brighten each student's day. In his free time he loves making music, working out, and spending time with friends.
Michelle is currently studying math at Pasadena City College. She intends to pursue a career in math education because she believes it is important to teach as it is the gateway into logic, problem solving, and with the right guidance, it builds people’s confidence and trust in their own reasoning skills. Her goal is to share that with students and help them become lovers of math like herself! In her free time, Michelle likes to bake, sing, hang out with friends, and run the philosophy club at her school.
Micky earned their Bachelor’s Degree in Asian American Studies from UC Santa Barbara. While pursuing their degree, Micky tutored students of all ages in various subjects—especially math. Math has always been one of Micky’s favorite subjects and positive, inclusive education is something they are very passionate about. They believe that with the right learning environment, any student can learn to enjoy math. Outside of Mathnasium, Micky loves to draw and make collages, play video games, and read lots of books
