Nicholas

Nicholas began a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering at UC Davis, and is currently continuing to pursue it at PCC. Before Mathnasium, he taught programming to students over the summer, fostering a love of teaching STEM. In the future, Nicholas hopes to achieve a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering. When he’s not in the center, Nicholas is usually found riding his bike, coding, or playing piano.

Hank

Hank is currently a student at Pasadena High School. He plans to attend either a UC or private out of state college where he will study in the architecture and business fields. As a former Mathnasium student and an extrovert, Hank has an understanding and love for the way that Mathnasium not only helps students build off of their foundational knowledge, but provides them with meaningful and lasting methods of problem solving. Having a friendly personality and understanding each student’s situation helps him get a sense of how to best help them. Hank's hobbies outside of work include bodybuilding, cooking, watching his favorite series on repeat, and thrifting!

Alex

Alex graduated form UC Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.A. in Computational Mathematics, and a Minor in Statistics. He tried being an independent researcher in AI safety and linear algebraic algorithms, but is now applying to graduate school. Alex's lifelong love of math makes him an enthusiastic teacher who deeply understands math's cumulative nature. Before Mathnasium, he was coaching high school robotics where he fell in love with one on one teaching. Outside of math, Alex has a passion for many varieties of dancing from ballroom dancing to folk dancing.

Siya

Siya is currently a high-school sophomore , who was a previously enrolled Mathnasium student looking for opportunities to combine two of her favorite things - working with kids and solving math problems! Her insider knowledge from her extensive time working as a student with Mathnasium benefits her ability to connect and collaborate with the students and make sure they have meaningful and lasting conceptual understanding. Siya is right now a violinist in her school's top Orchestra, and a member of the Colburn Concert Choir. Outside of school, some of Siya's other hobbies include reading, listening to music, and rock-climbing!

Aidan

Aidan is currently a student at California State University Northridge pursuing his degree in Computer Engineering. Before Mathnasium, he taught Roblox Studio at different schools to many kids K-8. Aidan hopes to achieve his goal of finishing his undergraduate studies and obtain a Masters Degree in Engineering as well. Outside of the center, Aidan is usually working on desktop computers or working on his car.

Megan

Megan is currently a senior in High School and hopes to attend a university in Southern California to study biological sciences and eventually become an anesthesiologist. As a former Mathnasium student, Megan has always enjoyed learning new math concepts and challenging herself to expand her knowledge. Megan loves working with students, finding different ways to approach problems, and helping others build confidence in their abilities. In addition, Megan volunteers in the Emergency Department at Huntington Hospital, where Megan assists nurses and patients whenever needed. Outside of school and volunteering, Megan enjoys playing competitive basketball, working out, and shopping with friends.

Justin

Justin is currently pursuing his M.S. in Electrical Engineering. Previously, he helped organize robotics competitions, designed custom robotics parts, and mentored students in robotics, which developed his love for teaching. He hopes to bring to students both sharp problem solving skills along with a strong passion for math. Aside from math, Justin enjoys playing piano, video games, working out, and hiking.

Sareen
