Sheri has spent more than 20 years in education supporting students in grades K–8 through in-person and virtual instruction. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University’s School of Education and completed her master’s degree at Central Michigan University. From an early age, Sheri knew she wanted to work with children and support their growth through learning.
As Owner and Center Director, Sheri is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where students feel supported and confident. She and her husband discovered Mathnasium while pursuing their dream of entrepreneurship and helping children succeed.
Clay is a lifelong Michigan resident with a creative background rooted in art and storytelling. He is a published children’s book author and illustrator who spent more than a decade writing and sharing stories with young audiences. Through this work, Clay discovered a deep passion for inspiring children to believe in themselves and pursue their interests.
As an Owner, Clay brings creativity, encouragement, and a child-centered perspective to Mathnasium. He is dedicated to helping students build confidence, discover their strengths, and develop a positive outlook on learning and life.
Judy brings more than 35 years of mathematics tutoring experience to Mathnasium and enjoys working with students across a wide range of skill levels. She recently retired after a distinguished career as a biostatistician and research director in hospital cardiology departments, where math played a central role in her work.
Judy loves helping students understand math concepts and gain confidence in their abilities. She believes math should be approachable and even fun, and she takes pride in supporting students as they grow into capable, confident problem solvers.
Chloe is a high school sophomore who excels academically and has a strong interest in math. She enjoys supporting students by creating a friendly, encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and building skills. Chloe values helping others gain confidence and develop positive study habits.
Outside of Mathnasium, Chloe plays the alto saxophone in band and marching band. She also enjoys illustrating, listening to music, spending time with friends, and watching her favorite anime series.
Jacqueline is a graduate of Central Michigan University, where she earned a degree in Mathematics for Secondary Education. She brings strong content knowledge and a thoughtful teaching approach to her work with students. Jacqueline enjoys helping learners break down challenging concepts and discover strategies that make math more manageable.
She is passionate about supporting students as they work toward their academic goals and build confidence in math. Jacqueline finds great fulfillment in watching students grow, improve, and begin to enjoy learning.
Ethan is a senior in high school and currently taking Calculus. He enjoys math and science and looks forward to attending college next year to study in the medical field. Ethan enjoys working with students and helping everyone to get better at math. FUN FACT: Ethan was our very FIRST Mathnasium student upon opening and has come full circle to now work for us and help students who are in the position he was once in!
Jason is an engineer and a family man who loves giving back and working with kids. As an engineer, he has a passion for math and enjoys helping those who don't understand it.
Ethan graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science and a strong background in mathematic. He is currently substitute teaching for the L'Anse Creuse and Chippewa Valley school districts while also working with our Mathnasium of Anchor Bay students. Ethan loves teaching and loves math and feels that teaching math is extremely rewarding as it allows him to share his logical way of thinking with his students.
Ava is currently a sophomore in high school with math being one of her favorite subjects! Ava also plays soccer as well as the flute in the high school marching band. In her free time she likes to draw, read, and listen to music!
