I am passionate about building kids' confidence in math. I am a mom first and I've learned from my own kids how life changing the Mathnasium program can be. When kids feel confident about problem solving, the possibilities are endless! I have been enjoying this work since 2018.
Timothy earned his degree in Mathematics from UC Santa Cruz and has been passionate about math since high school. He enjoys helping students work through challenging problems and is especially motivated by those “aha” moments when concepts click and confidence grows. He is the team leader running our after school program at Rio Del Mar Elementary working with students struggling and advanced. At the center, he enjoys working with students of all levels including high school students focusing on Algebra, Geometry, Integrated Math, and Trigonometry. Outside of Mathnasium, Timothy enjoys biking, hiking, and reading.
Justin is pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz and has a strong passion for math, coding, and teaching. He loves helping students of all ages build confidence and understanding in mathematics, whether they’re mastering foundational skills or tackling more advanced concepts. In addition to Mathnasium, Justin is a Teaching Assistant at UCSC, where he enjoys supporting students and guiding them through challenging material. He is especially motivated by helping students discover that math can be both approachable and rewarding.
Joaquin is currently a student at Cabrillo College studying geography and urban design. He also plays the French horn in the Cabrillo Symphonic Winds ensemble.
Joaquin likes all of the tricks and neat patterns that can be found in math and wants to help people discover them for themselves. He hopes this will make math more fun and interesting for everyone.
When he’s not solving math problems, Joaquin enjoys baking, walking around town, playing video games, and drawing.
