Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Guillermo

Instructor
Guillermo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at El Paso, with a minor in Physics. In addition, he completed one semester toward a Master's Degree in Mathematics. Guillermo has tutored all levels of math, including college math, for more than five years. He enjoys playing chess, watching soccer games, and solving math problems. He is from Mexico, so Viva Las Matimaticas!

Daniel

Instructor
Daniel has always had a passion for Math and has been helping students succeed for years. In his spare time he like to play, make, and modify video games. Something people might not know about him? His favorite color is fuchsia! And Daniel's favorite movie is 'Shawshank Redemption'.

Abigail

Instructor
Abigail is currently a freshman studying Spanish at Paradise Valley Community College. When not working or studying, she enjoys playing the guitar. At the top of her bucket list of things to do is to visit Japan when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Favorite movie? 'Fantastic Mr. Fox'!

Ronak

Instructor
Ronak is currently a high school student at Veritas Preparatory Academy and looking into studying engineering or possibly aviation in college! In his free time, Ronak enjoys playing chess, reading, and running. An item on Ronak’s bucket list is to learn how to fly a plane! Something you might not know about Ronak, his favorite candy is Sour Patch Kids!

Alix

Instructor
Alix is going to be a senior at Shadow Mountain High School in the fall of 2024. She is also a volleyball player both at school and for a club team! She really enjoys math and hopes to study it in some form in college!

David

Instructor
David is a mechanical engineering major at ASU. He enjoys watching baseball, working out, and teaching math! He also wrestled for 6 years, and is currently an assistant wrestling coach for McClintock High School.

Jori

Assistant Center Director
Jori is in her freshman year at Arizona State University. She is currently working towards a supply chain and finance degree. In her free time she loves to hangout with friends and family. Something people might not know that she really likes? Any kind of dogs!

Maya

Instructor
Maya is in her senior year at XCP. In her free time, she likes to read and go on runs with her mom. Her favorite movie is Tangled!

Barrett K.

Assistant Center Director

Barrett graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors in Economics and is currently pursuing a Masters in Accounting at ASU. He is excited to foster a fun and challenging learning environment to students of all ages! Math has always been his favorite subject and he is ready to help students reach their potential and build confidence along the way. Prior to working at Mathnasium, Barrett worked at a summer camp in Texas, as well as working as a hockey coach! In his free time, he can usually be found in the gym, playing or watching hockey, or hanging out with his cat!

Stephen S.

Instructor

Stephen is a senior at Arizona State University studying electrical engineering. He has engineering industry experience and is passionate about teaching the value of learning math and how it can benefit your future. He ran in track, cross country, and played soccer during high school. He also enjoys all kinds of games and loves trivia!
